WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll work day-to-day with the Commercial team, reporting into the Commercial Manager/Commercial Director and you'll play a vital role in driving growth for the business with particular attention on the London independent coffee community. WHAT YOU’LL DO We’re looking for a dynamic and connected Business Development Manager to drive growth within London’s independent coffee community. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities and building lasting partnerships with our core customer base, helping them access the right milk solutions for their needs, from specialty dairy (including milk, cream, butter and yoghurts) to alternative milk options such as oat, almond, etc. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of the specialty coffee market, a strong local network, and a genuine passion for both people and great coffee. YOUR ROLE • Identify and win new business across independent cafés, coffee roasteries, and hospitality partners throughout London., • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing accounts to ensure retention, upselling, and satisfaction., • Develop and execute strategies to expand presence across key coffee neighbourhoods (e.g. Shoreditch, Hackney, Brixton, and beyond)., • Represent The Estate Dairy at industry events and trade shows to grow visibility and reputation., • Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth deliveries and service reliability., • Stay informed on coffee and milk trends — including sustainability, alt-milk developments, and barista preferences., • Track performance using CRM tools, reporting regularly on pipeline, conversion, and customer insights., • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotions for new and existing clients. KEY REQUIREMENTS • 3+ years’ experience in business development, account management, or sales within the coffee, dairy, or F&B supply industries., • Strong understanding of London’s independent café culture and specialty coffee scene., • Proven success in developing and maintaining B2B client relationships., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills., • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously., • Valid UK driving licence (advantageous)., • Passion for coffee, sustainability, and high-quality ingredients., • A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to travel.
