About the Role We're looking for a proactive and reliable Caretaker to join our team at Royal William Yard, working specifically within the residential areas of the site. This is a key role supporting the Building Manager in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the communal spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents. Where will I be working? Royal William Yard, Plymouth, PL1 3RP Working Hours • 16 hours per week:, • Thursday – 4 hours, • Friday – 8 hours, • Saturday morning – 4 hours, • Carry out daily inspections of communal areas, identifying and resolving maintenance issues., • Support with basic maintenance and repair tasks., • Conduct weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting checks., • Record monthly utility meter readings and assist with site inspections., • Maintain security across the residential blocks, • Liaise with residents and contractors, ensuring health and safety standards are upheld., • Supervise contractors and support cleaning staff when required., • Experience in facilities or caretaking within commercial or residential settings., • Basic IT skills., • Ability to carry out basic maintenance and repair work., • A professional, courteous approach with a strong focus on customer service.
