Exciting SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunities - London Specialist schools across London are urgently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs . Role Details • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant, • Location: Various Specialist Schools across London, • Start Date: ASAP, Full-time and Part Time Available. Key Responsibilities • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), • Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs, • Assist in delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and structured learning strategies, • Work alongside teachers to deliver inclusive and engaging lessons, • Support interventions in literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills, • Use strategies such as visual timetables, PECS, and sensory regulation techniques, • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement, • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to tracking EHCP outcomes, • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and support staff What Schools Are Looking For • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in schools, specialist settings, or care environments, • A strong interest in Autism support, behaviour support, and inclusive education, • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations, • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, • A proactive, compassionate attitude when supporting vulnerable learners What You'll Gain • Valuable experience working in specialist London schools, • Opportunities to develop expertise in SEN support, behaviour management, and EHCP implementation, • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to pupils' lives, • Excellent experience for careers in SEN teaching, psychology, therapy, or specialist education
