Role responsibilities • Liaise with Station Resource Manager to ensure that all shifts are covered. Using spares, rest-day and overtime where needed., • Maintain a sufficient supply of change, tickets, cash-bags, data-bags, and general stationery., • Ensure all revenue equipment is returned to the office and report any discrepancies., • Maintain a log of all revenue equipment. Including revenue machines, chip and pin machines, PAYG PID's, Body Cam, shift sheet,., • Assess staff using approved CMS or other system and train any new members of the team., • Ensure all cash paid in by retail staff is processed speedily and in chronological order., • Ensure that accurate data is recorded and reports produced to support effective departmental management, • Ensure that all work carried out for GWR is in accordance with their cash regulations., • Keep a digital and paper record of any floats issued or returned. Forward information to Passenger Accounts Department., • Liaise with Passenger Accounts and Train Manager/On Board Management on any serious discrepancies with cash balances., • Report any faults or losses of retail equipment to the relevant stakeholders., • Good Leadership, decision-making and people management skills, • Be an effective trainer, coach and advisor, with excellent communication skills, • Ability to analyse the data and provide meaningful and accessible insight when required., • Be a confident IT user, able to use Microsoft office applications AND ALL Revenue equipment and software., • Good knowledge of railway operations and services, • Good knowledge STAR, cash regulations etc., • Ability to handle conflict situations and remain calm and polite under provocation, • Highly flexible 'can do' attitude as the post holder will be required to work unsociable hours and frequent weekends, • Outstanding oral and written communicator
