We require an experienced cook to work a minimum of 15 hours per week full time. You will manage the nursery’s kitchen, organise, prepare and deliver meals in accordance with the nursery’s menu. Experience of working in a similar setting environment and understanding the varied needs of children and their families is essential. A minimum Level 2 Certificate in Food and Hygiene is essential for this role. You must have knowledge of allergies and how to prevent risk along with the understanding of the issues of safeguarding children and equality. You will be able to work alone or as part of a team hence good communication skills will be handy. Other skills required are the ability to work to a budget, maintain equipment and ensure a tidy environment. Appropriate safeguarding training will be useful but not necessary as training will be given, In return, you will receive a competitive rate, staff pension, 28 days of annual leave part of which will be a week off during Christmas and New Year!
