Nursing Service Delivery Lead – South Wales Up to £31 per hour (umbrella) + weekend enhancements Starting April | Ongoing project Pulse’s AHP Team is recruiting experiencedNursing Service Delivery Leadsto support an establishedPhlebotomy & Healthcare Research Programmeas it enters its next phase. This is a flexible, shift-based role (similar to bank work), ideal for senior nurses seekingpart-time leadership responsibilityalongside other commitments. Candidates should be available2–3 days per weekwithin a7-day service . The Role Working across mobile research units in the South Wales area (locations rotate every 5–6 weeks), you will provide clinical and operational leadership to Healthcare Support Workers and phlebotomy teams, ensuring safe, high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include: Clinical leadership and supervision of HSWs Oversight of phlebotomy services and standards Ensuring governance, compliance, and quality targets are met Acting as first point of escalation for operational issues Supporting staff breaks in a supernumerary capacity Managing staff attendance and shift scheduling Reporting directly to the Lead Nurse Essential Requirements Registered Nurse with experience in a lead or supervisory role Proven phlebotomy experience (hands-on competence required) Ability to work 2–3 days per week Willingness to fully register with Pulse Driving licence highly beneficial due to mobile sites Expected locations over coming months Cardiff | Barry | Penarth | Newport and surrounding areas About the Programme This role supports a large-scale health research initiative designed to help people live healthier lives for longer.
