Public Relations Senior Account Executive

Our firm is looking to fill Senior Account Executive roles. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of agency or in-house experience in the communications department and an interest in finance, technology and web3. Senior Account Executives serve as the day-to-day contact for clients and the media. In this position, they are expected to be the most active in media-related activities that include media monitoring, flagging, analysis, outreach and coverage. SAEs play the role of the internal pitch masters and are pros at crafting attention-grabbing headlines, distilling complex information, and proactively identifying new opportunities for clients to be in the news. The Senior Account Executive will manage a small team of Account Executives and PR Assistants, and reports directly to Account Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents to assist with meeting the goals of each account assigned (max 4-5). Responsibilities: • Grow and nurture relationships with media, • Monitor and identify strategic news opportunities for clients, • Secure consistent media coverage for clients across different media formats, • Ensure weekly tasks are meeting pre-defined goals for each client account, • Contributes to strategy and narrative development for client campaigns and announcements alongside Account Managers, • Maintaining a rapport with client spokespeople and executive leadership, • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, playing an active role in enforcing company standards, values and acceptable quality of work Qualifications • College graduate, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in communications, political science or journalism, • Minimum of 3-5 years public relations and communications experience (preferably in an agency or in-house setting working with finance or cryptocurrency companies), • Avid reader of tech, business and finance news, • Strong media relationships & media references, • Proven ability to write press releases, briefing documents, boilerplates, and other standard press materials, • Proven understanding of media types + formats, • Track record for securing media coverage, • Demonstrated ability to problem solve or apply critical thinking skills, • Solid understanding of technology or finance, or both Skills • Writing – news-writing (including Associated Press style format); copy (including newsletters, presentations, proposals, etc.); press material (releases, one-sheets), • Research – Google, ChatGPT, MuckRack, • Computer – Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, • Management – time, junior team and project management, • Communications – listening, presenting and conversational skills, • Resourcefulness + Creativity – ability to think outside of the box Requirements • Three writing samples: press release, media pitch and OpEd, • Three media references: name & outlet, • Completion of assessment assignment(s) Compensation and Benefits: • Salary: £52,000 - 67,000 annually (base salary), • Pension Plan, • Flexible PTO This position is remote
