Sales Consultant — Premium Furniture | Glasgow | £28–32k Basic + £45–50k OTE £28,000–£32,000 basic. £45–50k OTE, uncapped. Glasgow showroom. Personality matters more than CV. For a natural salesperson who knows they're good with people, doesn't mind weekends, and wants to be paid properly for what they already do well. You might be running a phone shop, managing a beauty counter, leading a team at a fashion retailer, or selling gym memberships and quietly hitting target every month. You enjoy the floor. You enjoy people. You read a customer in thirty seconds and you know when to push and when to back off. The bit you don't enjoy is the ceiling — small commission on small-ticket products, capped bonuses, and a basic that hasn't moved in two years. This is a step up. The role in plain English Customers walk into a premium furniture showroom because they're about to spend serious money. They're not browsing to kill time. They've researched, they've measured, they've argued about it at home. Your job is to help them get it right — product, layout, fabric, finish — and close the sale properly without ever pushing. The conversations are longer than what you're used to. The order values are bigger. The commission is proportional. And because customers often come back two or three times before they buy, the people who do well here are the ones who can build rapport and follow up — not the ones who try to close in fifteen minutes. Why the money works • Premium product, premium price point, premium commission, • Consistent showroom footfall — strong marketing brings people through the door, • Commission paid monthly, uncapped, • Top performers regularly clearing £50k and going beyond, • A team already earning well, so the numbers are proven not theoretical Who we're really looking for Personality first. CV second. We want someone who: • Genuinely likes people and shows it within seconds of meeting them, • Has worked retail hours and isn't fazed by weekends or bank holidays, • Has held a sales target before — telecoms, beauty, fashion, fitness, kitchens, cars, jewellery, mobile, fitness memberships, hospitality upsell, whatever, • Can hold a real conversation, not a script, • Wants to earn more than they're earning now and is willing to do the work Furniture experience isn't required. Product knowledge can be taught. The right personality cannot. The mechanics • Full ownership of the customer journey — first hello to signed order, • Consultative selling: needs, lifestyle, space, budget, • Modern showroom, professional team, structured weekend rota, • 37.5-hour week, • Training and support to get you up to speed on the product The package • £28,000–£32,000 basic depending on experience, • £45,000–£50,000+ OTE, uncapped, paid monthly, • 37.5-hour week with structured weekend rota, • Long-term progression as the business expands, • A premium environment that genuinely feels like a step up
