Head of Content Full-time | £35,000-£45,000 | South Warwickshire Overview: We're looking for a Head of Content to provide strategic leadership across a growing organisation's content and audience operation. This role exists to bring clarity, focus, and structure to a complex, multi-channel content environment. It is a senior position responsible for defining direction and priorities - not for day-to-day execution. You will shape how content supports audience engagement, growth, and commercial outcomes across platforms. What You'll Be Responsible For: Setting Direction Defining what content is created and why Establishing clear content pillars rooted in audience needs Ensuring content decisions are insight-led and commercially aware Balancing inspirational storytelling with practical value Planning & Structure Building and maintaining a forward-looking content roadmap Planning content months ahead with production realism in mind Ensuring major content outputs align with wider business objectives Creating systems that make content easier to deliver at scale Commercial Enablement Working with commercial stakeholders to shape credible content opportunities Designing frameworks that allow partners to integrate naturally Assessing ideas for feasibility, audience value, and brand fit Platform Strategy Deciding how content is distributed across channels Ensuring content is designed to be reused and adapted Maintaining consistency of messaging without duplication Measurement & Improvement Defining success metrics that actually matter Reviewing performance with relevant stakeholders Using insight to continuously refine content direction Working Style & Scope: This is a strategic leadership role focused on decision-making and systems rather than execution. You will not be expected to write long-form content, edit publications, manage social media accounts, upload content to a CMS, or operate as a traditional editor-in-chief. Instead, you will collaborate with a flexible delivery team that may include a managing editor or delivery lead, freelance creators, social and email specialists, operational support, and commercial stakeholders - providing clear direction and oversight to ensure content is delivered effectively and consistently. About You: We're less concerned with job titles and more interested in how you think. You're likely to have experience in content strategy, audience development, media, marketing, or brand-led environments, and you're comfortable operating at a strategic level.
