Summary/Objective Security Risk Advisors is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated candidate to join our Business Operations Team as a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will assist with tax preparation, filings, and financial reporting, while supporting the team in maintaining compliance and identifying process efficiencies. Requirements Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for external CPA firm and audits, • Support quarterly estimated payments, extensions, and annual filings, • Research basic tax law changes and regulatory updates affecting the business, • Prepare and file state sales tax returns, • Support accounting month end closing process, • General bookkeeping & reconciliations, • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the tax workflow Supervisory Responsibility Not applicable Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel In-Office 1 day a week. Required Education and Experience • Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs., • 1–2 years of experience in tax accounting (public accounting or private industry)., • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field., • Experience with Sage Intacct a plus. Preferred Qualifications and Experience • CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required., • Residence in Eastern time zone preferred., • Highly detail oriented, • Excellent organizational skills, • Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and projects, • Able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, • Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively, • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
