Job Description Date Posted 2/20/26 Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Job description: Position Summary: The Director of Nassau County Operations will oversee the daily functioning of the Nassau office, ensuring seamless service delivery, staff cohesion, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for supervising key department service providers, implementing trauma-informed protocols, and fostering a positive, survivor-centered workplace culture. As the site lead, the Director will serve as the primary liaison between Nassau staff and executive leadership, supporting strategic goals and ensuring program fidelity. The Director will lead a newly formed team through the launch phase, establish operational systems, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect. Agency Overview The Crime Victims Center (CVC) is the leading provider of comprehensive trauma-informed victim support services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, all violent crime, and elderly, minor, and disabled victims of property crime in Suffolk County. The CVC has transformed the delivery of comprehensive trauma-informed victim services for crime victims through its National Association of Counties award-winning referral process. In addition the organization provides sexual assault forensic examiner services and rape crisis counselor response for acute sexual assault victims who present at emergency departments. Responsibilities: Organizational Leadership & Strategic Implementation • Translate agency-wide goals into actionable plans for Nassau operations, • Develop and oversee implementation of trauma-informed protocols across departments, • Monitor program fidelity, service quality, and staff adherence to policies, • Identify operational gaps and propose solutions to Executive and Assistant Directors, • Directly supervise Nassau HR Manager, Advocacy Program Supervisor, Hotline Supervisor, and Director of Outreach/Education, • Provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to department heads, • Support leadership development and succession planning within Nassau team, • Facilitate weekly leadership meetings with the Executive Director to promote communication and problem-solving, • Oversee day-to-day functioning of advocacy, hotline, outreach, and legal services, • Ensure timely and accurate documentation, data entry, and grant deliverables, • Monitor caseloads, service timelines, and staff capacity to maximize efficiency and mitigate vicarious trauma, • Collaborate with Legal Services Director to ensure integration of legal and advocacy services, • Model and promote trauma-informed leadership, communication, and supervision, • Address interpersonal and team dynamics with empathy and accountability, • Partner with HR Manager to implement staff wellness initiatives and conflict resolution protocols, • Ensure physical space and workflows support staff safety, privacy, and dignity, • Serve as lead coordinator for Nassau-based crisis response and emergency protocols, • Ensure staff are trained in de-escalation, mandated reporting, and safety procedures, • Respond to critical incidents and coordinate follow-up with HR and legal teams, • Represent the Nassau office in coalitions, task forces, and stakeholder meetings, • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, courts, law enforcement, and community partners, • Support outreach and prevention efforts in collaboration with Outreach Director and Assistant Director, • Oversee facility management, technology needs, and administrative systems, • Ensure staff have access to necessary tools, supplies, and resources, • Coordinate with Suffolk finance and contracts team on budget tracking and procurement Operational Lead for Development Strategy Execution • Translate programmatic needs into funding priorities by identifying staffing, infrastructure, and service delivery gaps that require external support, • Provide detailed operational data—including caseload trends, service outcomes, and budget projections—to inform grant proposals and donor communications, • Collaborate with the Director of Prevention, Outreach, and Development to ensure fundraising campaigns accurately reflect Nassau’s operational realities and survivor-centered goals, • Support planning and execution of fundraising events and donor site visits, including coordinating logistics, preparing staff, and ensuring trauma-informed protocols are upheld, • Participate in development strategy meetings to align fundraising goals with program growth, compliance requirements, and cross-site cohesion, • Identify opportunities for funder engagement by highlighting innovative practices, emerging needs, and impact stories from Nassau operation, • Ensure timely reporting and documentation for grant-funded activities, in coordination with finance and contracts teams, • Review and approve operational content for fundraising materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with agency standards Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Paid time off Education: • Master's (Required) Experience: • Nor-for-Profit Organizational: 5 years (Required), • Operations: 5 years (Required), • Victim Support Services : 2 years (Preferred), • Management: 5 years (Required), • Fundraising: 1 year (Required), • Development: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Syosset, NY 11791 (Required) Work Location: In person Company DescriptionThe Crime Victims Center (CVC) is the leading provider of comprehensive trauma-informed victim support services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, all violent crime, and elderly, minor, and disabled victims of property crime.
