Mythical operates the Internets most popular daily show, Good Mythical Morning, among other shows and podcasts, and extends its content businesses into touring, music, books, memberships, branded, and many other spheres of the Creator Economy. The Art PA is responsible for a variety of administrative and physical tasks within the Art Department. They will play an important role in lending support during the pre-production and production phases for Mythical content across multiple platforms. The Art PA will oversee the organization and maintenance of office and workshop supplies, props, set decoration, expendables, and storage inventory. This role reports to the Art Directors and works closely with the Art Coordinator/Prop Maker, Production Department, and Producing team. Responsibilities: • Maintain a well-stocked and organized office and workshop environment, including but not limited to the management of office supplies, workshop expendables, craft services, sweeping, and daily trash removal, • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of the in-house Prop and Set Decoration storage, • Log, code, and gather receipts for weekly debit card purchases for the entire Art Department, • Create research documents for rentals, develop mood boards, and present visual references as needed by the Art Directors, • Manage all returns and donation drop-offs and pick-ups, • Plan and complete runs (including large lumber/art material runs) to various locations across Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, • Track team purchases via sources like Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Craigslist, Uline, etc. and keep an up-do-date record of all deliveries through the updating and managing of team tracking documents, • Pick up packages from the front office and inspect (including powering on, charging and testing all electronics) and log all deliveries before sorting into corresponding episode bins, • Occasionally assist Art Directors and Prop Maker on more creative projects such as painting, printing, and prop fabrication, • Prepare props for episode tests with producers and writers. Assist as needed, • Prep episode carts and work closely with the Art Department Coordinator/Prop Maker to ensure all props, costumes, and set pieces are camera-ready prior to each shoot day, • Transport episode carts, costumes, large-scale props, and set pieces to and from set in a timely and efficient manner. Assist the Art Team with the assembly and breakdown of larger sets and set pieces. After episodes are wrapped, clean and organize episode materials by sorting into returns, donations, or trash piles and handle accordingly, • Work as needed on set to assist the Art Department on various programs including, but not limited to, Good Mythical Morning, Mythical Kitchen, Rhett and Link Content, Mythical Society and Social Media & Marketing campaigns, • Submit Operation Requests for the team such as workshop maintenance requests, van booking, off-site storage pick-ups, etc. Requirements: • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record, • A working vehicle or mode of transportation to perform various runs, • Able to lift and carry 50lbs without assistance, • Comfort and familiarity with climbing ladders while carrying objects, • Comfortable assembling furniture kits from sources like Ikea and Amazon, • Proficient understanding of the pre-production, production, and pre-production phases, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detailed-oriented, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • At minimum 6-12 months of production assistant experience, • Flexibility to work overtime as needed, • Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Problem-solving skills and interest in evolving Art Department processes, • Thorough understanding of Google Suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, Forms and Calendar), as well as being overall tech savvy Preferred: • Art Department experience and/or interest in Art Department work is heavily preferred, • Experience working in a workshop environment; familiarity with power tools and lumber/fabrication materials is a huge plus, • Experience driving trucks, vans, and oversized vehicles, • Basic knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator is a plus, • Proficient understanding of design, styling, and visual aesthetics and/or eager to learn, • Experience with some kind of task tracking software (Monday.com, Asana, Airtable, etc), • Familiarity with basic filmmaking equipment and terminology
