Job Description Position Summary: The physical therapist assistant provides services aimed at preventing the onset and/or slowing the progression of conditions resulting from injury, disease, and other causes. The physical therapist assistant provides these services to people of all ages who have functional conditions resulting from back and neck injuries, sprains/strains and fractures, arthritis, burns, amputations, injuries related to work and sports, and others (APTA website, 2002). The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to execute various interventions including therapeutic exercise, modalities, manual therapies, and other rehabilitative treatments. At FOI, physical therapist assistants specialize in providing therapy services in outpatient orthopaedics. This includes implementing the plan of care through the utilization of clinical skills and treatment interventions. The physical therapist assistant will work in a team environment along with physical therapists, other physical therapist assistants, certified athletic trainers, and other members of the health care team. Therapist assistants may also participate in community education and research activities in order to best serve our clients within our community. Qualifications: Physical therapist assistants must successfully complete a 2-year educational and clinical program from an accredited college or junior college. After graduation, physical therapist assistant candidates must pass a state-administered national exam. The state of Florida also requires licensed physical therapist assistants to have a current CPR certification along with an AIDS education certification. A Day in the Life: • You will move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards., • You will control the elements that determine profit and loss of the Food and Beverage operations., • You will work with the hotels’ sales team to ensure that all meeting spaces are properly supplied and maintained., • You will coordinate with the Corporate Food and Beverage team in the planning of meals and menus., • You will work with the Hotel General Manager and Assistant General Manager on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice input., • You will work with the Corporate Food and Beverage team on product pricing, menus, and wine selection., • You will collaborate consistently with the Executive Chef., • You will consult with the Executive Chef and other applicable hotel managers daily to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction is being met., • You will establish quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department., • You will help develop and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the Food and Beverage department., • You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage department, • You will be responsible for developing an operating budget for each of the department’s revenue outlets., • You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Food and Beverage Department (i.e. budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.), • You will execute inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation, • You will prepare and monitor annual budget, revenue goals and the expenses for the Food and Beverage Department, • You will also generate various (weekly/monthly) business volume forecasts and plan accordingly., • You will ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized., • You will inspect to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are consistently met., • You will coordinate and work with both the hotel sales team and banquets staff to ensure meetings spaces are properly supplied, cleaned & maintained to ensure show ready meeting spaces, • You will coordinate and work with set up and banquet team to ensure proper set up of room events and meeting rooms in accordance with BEO specifications, • You will coordinate and work with sales & catering, set up/banquet team and F&B culinary to ensure proper set up of buffet lines with correct flow of service, appropriate labeling of food items as well as ensuring proper execution and commendable service.
