Together We Grow – One Mission, One Team – With a Commitment to Serve Scope of Work: The primary purpose of this position is to ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment in the power plants as well as the building operations per site requirements. This role works independently to lead technical efforts, ensure compliance, and oversee assigned team members. Responsibilities: • Responsible for notification and organizing personnel in response to emergency calls after hours., • Responsible for supervision of engineer leads and/or all personnel that have been placed under their direction, scheduling, assigning and completion of all preventive maintenance tasks and service orders for equipment associated with the power plant and/or the building., • Select sites require the Chief to oversee the plant as well as the building operations., • Operate, service, and repair complex building systems, including boilers, HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, and associated electrical components., • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting across a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems., • Execute preventive maintenance tasks and corrective repairs to support safe, reliable system operation., • Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, operational procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations., • Document maintenance activities, inspections, and system performance through accurate logs and records., • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, system alerts, and emergency situations to minimize downtime., • Provide technical direction and support to junior engineers and maintenance staff., • Coordinate with facility leadership, contractors, and project teams on system repairs, upgrades, and improvement initiatives., • The Chief reports directly to the site manager/project manager or deputy and is responsible for all associated reports involving the equipment in the main power plants as well as the building if required by site., • Completes all training within the required timeline., • Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks are completed., • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations., • Valid First Class Engineer License in DC, • Proven ability to perform complex troubleshooting across multiple trades., • Experience working within high-security, mission-critical, or government facilities preferred., • Previous supervisory or lead engineering experience preferred., • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment schematics., • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make critical operational decisions., • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position., • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices., • Must hold and maintain a Tier 3 (Secret Clearance) or Tier 5 background check (Top Secret / SCI Clearance), as required for the position., • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite., • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time., • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE., • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
