We are seeking interns that are available 3-4 days a week, in office, starting Monday January 5th through May 21st (dates can be flexible) What You'll Do: • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of Avōq clients and the issues that impact them., • Complete legislative, public policy, and other research projects as directed by the Research team and, • consultants., • Assist with the drafting and production of client publications such as issue alerts and newsletters., • Review congressional hearings and draft summaries for clients and/or staff. Applicants Should: • Currently undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate degree., • Have a strong interest in politics and public policy., • Possess excellent research and writing skills., • Have experience with research tools such as Bloomberg, Politico Pro, and Quorum., • Be able to work independently and juggle multiple projects. FTE 1.0 ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standard Office / Sit, stand, walk, lift 15 lbs POSITION SUMMARY The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all PHRI facilities, including administrative offices and residential program sites. This role ensures that all areas are well-kept, welcoming, and compliant with health and safety standards. The Housekeeper is an integral part of ensuring the comfort and dignity of clients, staff, and visitors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of bathrooms, kitchens, lobbies, workspaces, residential units, and common areas according to daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules., • Dust, vacuum, mop, and disinfect surfaces using agency-approved cleaning methods., • Monitor and restock cleaning and hygiene supplies including hand soap, tissue, and sanitizer dispensers throughout the facility., • Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, and fold program linens and residents’ laundry (as applicable)., • Adhere to infection control policies and proper storage of cleaning agents and chemicals., • Dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and recycling materials in compliance with health regulations., • Report damage, pest issues, or maintenance needs promptly to the Facility Manager., • Assist in setup and cleanup for meetings, events, and inspections., • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean storage area for housekeeping supplies., • Observe and respect residents’ privacy and confidentiality when cleaning personal or shared spaces., • Perform deep cleaning during transitions between clients or in preparation for new admissions., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • 1+ year experience in custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping role., • Familiarity with cleaning agents, equipment, and safety protocols., • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently., • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe) and various business software., • Simplify complex issues; breaking down big problems into smaller, manageable tasks, and identifying the key priorities that will have the biggest impact on the business, • Delegate effectively; giving clear direction, setting expectations, and providing the necessary resources and support to help their teams succeed, • Predict future trends and challenges, staying up-to-date on industry developments, monitoring market trends, and seeking out new opportunities for growth and innovation., • Systemize processes; identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, establishing clear workflows and procedures, and ensuring that everyone in the organization is aligned around the same goals.
