Job Description Summary of Function: Ensure that customer delivery requirements are successfully planned, supported, and executed. This individual will ensure that the production schedule supports the customer requirements via directly working with the Scheduler. Major Duties and Responsibilities: · Act as information resource between Customer and Scheduler. · Review impact of releases change and communicate issues back to Customer. · Direct customer contact on a daily basis. · Review and load EDI’s that come in from various customers. · Some manual entry of releases from certain customers or for special orders. · Monitor waterfall charts of releases’ changes through ERP system report to support discussions with customers, as needed. · Exercise high degree of independent decision making regarding organizing and performing work to meet customer requirements. · Help ensure Customer PO’s are entered in and cost is verified with Sales on new products and spot-buy PO’s. · Works with Logistics on shortages, etc. to ensure customer needs are met. · Works closely with related departments to communicate any part shortages and recovery plans. · Other related duties as assigned. Educational Requirements: · High School Diploma required, college degree preferred · Experience can replace some educational requirement. Experience Requirements: · 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent of education and experience. · Experience in any ERP/MRP. Plex preferred. · GM and FCA/Stellantis OEM system and customer support is ideal. · Must be computer literate and have Microsoft Office experience. · Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Job description · Analyzes specifications, sets up and operates machine tools, fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages in respect to standard metalworking and die design practices. · Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. · Responsibilities include initiating recommendations involving continuous improvements if measures to improve methods, equipment/ tooling performance, and quality of work. · Confers with assigned tool & die lead-person responsible for their workmanship or shift supervisor, to coordinate activities and advises any change in completion status of assigned work. · Responsible for the accuracy and completion of all-time and work records. · Responsible on assigned jobs in regards to proper maintenance workmanship and completion required in meeting the production schedule. · Has the authority to place any product on “Hold” if poor quality is suspected. · Responsible for all assigned organizational and housekeeping activities required to maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient operating tool-room environment related to their shift. · Develops specifications from general descriptions, and standard design practices in the generation of replacement die components. · Other duties may be assigned. HIRING PREREQUISITES · One-year certificate from technical school; or two years related experience; or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Tool & Die field. · Language skills to include the ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals. · Reasoning skills to include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. · Mathematical skills to include the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. · Ability to successfully complete assigned jobs/ tasks in a timely manner and/or by a required completion date, and evaluated in respect to knowledge, initiative, dedication, attitude, quantity, quality, versatility, cooperation, dependability, leadership, safety, tardiness, housekeeping, organization, and attendance. Once hired, will go through the online PMA program. Will get a $1.00 raise every 6 months during apprenticeship.
