Benefits: Comprehensive benefits (401K, Health, Dental, and Vision) through Icon Consultants are available Onsite Flexibility: TBD Job Type: 6 – month contract role Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated IT Sourcing Specialist to join our Supply Chain Team supporting Information Technology. This critical role is designed to align IT department objectives and key performance indicators with broader business strategies, encompassing risk management, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture integration. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of IT contract management with exceptional expertise in IT RFx processes, IT ARB procedures, advanced IT product knowledge, and sophisticated IT contractual language to mitigate risk. This position also requires close collaboration with the IT Enterprise Architecture team to effectively manage and design the IT portfolio. Key responsibilities include: Execution • Advance the organization’s skills that support business agility, speed, and risk management, through automation or the adoption of new technology and leveraging internal and external data sources., • Execute the best options for solutions, which may include acquisition of IT products, outsourcing or insourcing, or other alternatives such as joint ventures, brokering vendor partnerships or potential IT acquisitions., • Engage the business to understand business drivers, demand, risk appetite and environmental factors that influence the development and maintenance of the IT sourcing strategy., • Understand and adopt agile, pragmatic and fast-track principles into IT sourcing best practices., • Provide proactive, high-value procurement and contract negotiation consultation to the business through thorough understanding of the business needs., • Manage IT assets and communication with IT vendors related to company mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures., • Draft, redline, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions in IT-related agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS/XaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors. Performance & KPI • Define, maintain and report on the metrics that will be followed to track the progress of IT contracts and suppliers against objectives., • Conduct TCOs with IT Finance before, during, and after contract to evaluate the success as scoped in the business case submissions., • Maintain an inventory of vendors spend by category (software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services, etc.)., • Maintain vendor risk assessments in cooperation with risk, privacy, business continuity and security teams., • Manage the workflow required to capture and analyze relevant data and information with the ITSM tool., • Lead the evaluation of optimal sourcing and pricing options (RFx), taking into consideration outsourcing/cloud, hybrid, and insourcing models., • Superb problem-solving skills in complex vendor and internal customer relationship environments. Seeks to resolve the root cause, not just the specific problem., • Evaluate IT suppliers for commercial and contractual performance in all stages of the contract life cycle and report the statistics to ITLT on a quarterly basis., • Document any non-compliance or contractual breach for IT Suppliers, assist with identifying the pieces in the SOW that are out of compliance or were not delivered for legal action. ESSENTIAL • Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions., • Prepares and solicits bids., • Issue and review requests for quotations/information., • Negotiates for the purchase of goods, supplies, equipment and services., • Prepares purchase orders and sends copies to suppliers and to the originating department of the request., • Ensures the communication of technical, quality, legal, and commercial requirement sourcing information for goods and services, and facilitates the resolution of commercial, quality and technical issues related to sourced goods, both internal and external to Oceaneering., • Manages procurement plan and pricing strategy to support cost objectives and works to ensure delivery schedules are adequate to support project and operational needs., • Resolves purchasing issues between OII and vendors., • Performs administrative activities in support of the purchasing function., • Ability to work with others to create new processes and procedures, and the reporting that is required to ensure compliance with the new processes., • Ability to see and articulate the big picture, to think clearly to uncover the root causes of barriers to execution., • Ability to influence change even without having direct authority over it., • Ability to communicate with a wide audience and to persuade/convince others to act., • Ability to stay organized and track many concurrent initiatives, deadlines, and milestones., • Ability to analyze data and determine where there are opportunities for improvement., • Ability to learn and understand financial and budgetary requirements of an IT department., • Ability to work independently or with other teams and departments to resolve escalated issues. NON-ESSENTIAL • All other duties assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities • This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship • This role will report directly to the Global Category Manager (Indirect), • This role will work with IT leaders to assist with sourcing and synergy support., • Critical partners to this role are the IT EA Team, IT PMO leader, IT Department Leadership, OII Corporate Supply Chain Management Team, and the Accounts Payable Team. Qualifications REQUIRED • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education., • Experience executing data-informed IT sourcing strategies that deliver tangible added value to organization’s strategic goals and objectives., • Comfortable in addressing strategic vendor relationships and developing strategies that look to reduce overall cost or risk., • Other functional experience, particularly in IT, business strategy, business analysis or finance is an advantage., • Understanding of IT asset management.
