Senior Program Manager – Retail & Operations Location: Remote (Bay Area candidates only) Pay Rate: $104/hour Duration: 6-month assignment Full- time: M-F **Please note: Only accepting applicants in the Bay Area. About the Role We are seeking a strategic, business-focused Program Manager to support retail business planning and execution for Small & Medium Business (SMB) initiatives. This is a non-technical, strategy & operations–driven role focused on driving alignment, building scalable processes, and supporting leadership decision-making across a complex retail organization. This individual will operate at a high level of independence, partnering cross-functionally with business, field, and leadership teams to ensure initiatives are executed effectively and aligned to broader business goals. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end program management across strategic retail initiatives, including planning, execution, tracking, and delivery, • Drive retail SMB program integration, building scalable frameworks, workflows, and operating models, • Facilitate cross-functional alignment across business, retail, field, and technical teams, • Run structured weekly working sessions, business reviews, and leadership updates, ensuring clear action items and follow-ups, • Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, and reporting materials to support decision-making, • Own and maintain program documentation, trackers, dashboards, and communications with a high level of accuracy, • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and program timelines, proactively driving resolution, • Support program budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning activities, • Use data and insights to build compelling narratives and influence stakeholders, • Act as a central point of coordination for urgent, high-priority business requests, • Partner with field teams to ensure execution consistency across retail environments Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or management consulting, • Experience working within large, global, highly matrixed organizations, • Background in retail, eCommerce, or customer-facing business environments, • Experience working with field sales or retail store operations teams, • Experience supporting Small & Medium Business (SMB) programs or initiatives, • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs within large, matrixed organizations, • Strong background in strategy, business operations, or retail program execution (non-technical focus), • Familiarity with program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Airtable, or similar), • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse teams, • Experience building and managing program plans, timelines, trackers, and documentation with strong attention to detail, • Strong experience developing executive presentations, business cases, and leadership communications, • Experience managing program risks, dependencies, and competing priorities in fast-paced environments, • Ability to translate data into insights and actionable recommendations, • Experience supporting program budgets, forecasting, and resource planning, • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis/reporting tools, • Prior experience in management consulting or strategy roles
