Job Description📣 Now Hiring: Bindery Machine Operators Location: Plymouth and Minnetonka Schedules: 1st Shift 6AM-2:30PM OR 2:00PM-10:30PM Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Are you mechanically inclined, detail‑driven, and energized by a fast‑paced production environment? Join our team as a Bindery Machine Operator, where you’ll set up, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment to produce high‑quality printed materials. You’ll work with both machinery and hands-on finishing tasks, ensuring every product meets precise quality standards. What You’ll Do • Review work orders to understand job specifications and production requirements, • Set up and operate a machine to cut, sort, and collate full sheets, • Load materials and monitor machine performance for accuracy and consistency, • Inspect stitched, collated, bound, and unbound products for defects, • Perform hand bindery tasks: kitting, collating, sorting, finishing, and assembly, • Apply stickers, labels, and other finishing components, • Stitch or glue bindings, endpapers, and signatures using machines or manual tools, • Accept or reject finished products based on quality standards, • Perform routine maintenance and assist with equipment repairs or rebuilds, • Troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime Essential Skills & Experience • 1+ year of machine operation experience, • OR strong machine operating skills at a set up level with manual machines, • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production machinery, • Experience with machine setup and operation in a print or bindery environment, • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot defects, • Ability to follow written instructions and work orders accurately, • Experience performing quality checks on printed or bound materials, • Troubleshooting skills for bindery or printing equipment, • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced production setting, • Experience in cutting, folding, stitching, gluing, and kitting, • Fast‑paced and hands‑on, • Well lit and climate controlled (with some temperature fluctuation near dock doors), • Moderately loud due to running machinery, • Physically active, requiring standing, moving materials, and operating equipment throughout the day Why You’ll Love Working Here • Stable, family‑owned company with a strong reputation, • Supportive team environment focused on quality and craftsmanship, • Clean, organized facility with modern equipment, • 401(k) with 3% company match, • Opportunities for long‑term growth and skill development Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
