Job Description Overview: The Materials Analyst will be responsible for maintaining consistent Material Flow to support the Master Production schedule (MPS) for the Performance Seats Clinton Township plant location. They will support the development of specific Monitoring Processes that enable the plant to maintain Production Line uptime, Inventory Levels and Cost of Transportation. They will also be responsible for implementing tools and processes that improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs within plant and supporting supply chains. Key Responsibilities: • Create and maintain Supplier Releases., • Maintain Inventory and Demand record integrity, to ensure supplier release accuracy, using tools as CUM reconciliation and Capacity Management (Material Requirement Planning)., • Work with production to support in identifying and prioritizing variance issues that may impact production, • Analyze data to root cause source of variance and identify permanent corrective actions, • Manage and track the flow of material between main facility and external warehouses, • Cycle counting support to maintain inventory accuracy, • Collaborate with other departments (mainly Engineering) to create Part Transition Plans., • Maintenance and communication of key performance indicators., • Establish and adjust safety stock levels for Purchased Parts., • Assist in the coordination of engineering change implementation, through timing control., • Assist in the development of Freight and Inventory budgets., • Participation in S&OP meetings., • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or any Engineering Field., • In the absence of a 4-year degree in an appropriate field of study, this position requires four (4) years of related experience (as Materials or Purchasing Analyst or Coordinator)., • 2+ years MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience; preferably with experience dealing with international vendors, • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required., • Experiencing working within an ERP system, preferably PLEX, • Customs & Duties process transactions (inbound/outbound), • Spanish or German languages are a plus.
