Job DescriptionJob Title: Machine OperatorJob Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating two bag machines and support equipment to convert HDPE film into bags. You will navigate and input information accurately into a production management system and ensure that printing job requirements are met according to specifications. Your role will involve setting up the bag machine line, adjusting for size, mounting cylinders, and managing ink distribution. Additionally, you will troubleshoot stoppages, perform quality checks, and maintain clear communication with the team. Responsibilities • Setup and operate two bag machines and support equipment to convert HDPE film into bags., • Accurately navigate and input information in a production management system., • Understand and adhere to printing job requirements by specifications., • Set up the bag machine line by loading film and adjusting for size., • Mount cylinders, adjust pressure, tension, and distribution of ink., • Troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns; communicate clearly and accurately with appropriate personnel., • Perform quality checks of material being produced and complete related documentation., • Operate extrusion lines in accordance with job safety analysis, standard operating procedures, quality procedures, and operator training., • Ensure proper materials are used in accordance with procedures., • Monitor roll weights to ensure correct gauge is maintained throughout the shift., • Assure proper processing and labeling of products.Essential Skills, • Experience in machine operation (1-3 years ideal, willing to train)., • Proficiency in troubleshooting., • Familiarity with startup and changeover processes in extrusion.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Ability to stand constantly for 12 hours or more., • Capability to walk constantly for 12 hours., • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and handle weights ranging from 0-49 lbs for 8-10 hours.
