You might be just who we are looking for! At The Child Development Center, we are searching for an energetic, detail-oriented, and positive Part Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. We are a non-profit NAEYC accredited and 4 Star Texas Rising Star preschool located in Southwest Austin. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, embodying our commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education. This is a part-time, non-exempt position. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 6:45am - 10:00am. Compensation and Benefits: β’ $17.00 per hour commensurate with education and experience, β’ As this is a part-time position, it is not eligible for health insurance or retirement benefits, β’ Opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization, β’ Supportive work environment The ideal candidate should: β’ Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 6:45 am - 10:00 am., β’ Have a passion for creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for our children, families, and staff., β’ Have a positive attitude and friendly demeanor!!, β’ Be honest and trustworthy, β’ Be respectful and possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, β’ Be a team player and demonstrate flexibility, β’ Possess strong organizational skills, β’ Have ability to handle multi-line phone systems, β’ Have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, and be able to learn new software programs, β’ Exhibit a strong work ethic and reliability, β’ Have excellent phone etiquette and customer service, β’ Possess a strong attention to detail, β’ Demonstrate critical thinking skills, β’ Have knowledge of customer service principles and practices, β’ Understand the importance of confidentiality, β’ Have effective verbal and written communication skills, β’ Be willing to learn new things and take on new tasks as needed Duties Include: β’ Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and relay information, β’ Greet and welcome families and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, β’ Support clerical tasks such as filing and maintaining records, β’ Follow safety procedures in admitting visitors to the building, β’ Monitoring building security and adhering to all safety protocols, β’ Display sound judgment in daily decision making and in emergency decision making, β’ Assist in operational and facilities duties as needed, including cleaning, stocking inventory, preparing snacks, β’ Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, β’ Help coordinate substitute teachers when needed, β’ Maintain a neat and comfortable reception area, β’ Provide support for various departments as needed Qualifications: β’ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, β’ At least 1+ years of administrative or receptionist experience, β’ Proficiency in multi-phone line systems, β’ Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, β’ Must be able to sit, stand, and/or move around for prolonged periods of time, β’ Must pass a state-run criminal background check If you would like to be part of this fun-loving, dynamic group, please apply using the link below: About Circle C Child Development Center: Circle C Child Development Center has been a cornerstone of the community since 1994, offering nationally recognized preschool programs with a focus on individualized education.
