JOB DETAILS Title: Corporate Work Study (CWS) Operations Manager Reports to: Director of Operations Location: Mission District of San Francisco Position Type: Full-time with benefits Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience, includes benefits POSITION SUMMARY The Corporate Work Study (CWS) Operations Manager serves as the primary student and family contact for day-to-day issues, concerns, and attendance. The role oversees student job placement and implementation, student transportation and experience, and works closely with the Principal and Academic teams to plan and teach a curriculum aligned to support student success in their CWS jobs. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties consist of but are not limited to the following: Student Job Placement and Implementation • Serve as the primary student and family contact for day-to-day issues, concerns, and attendance, ensuring timely communication to the partners via the Partnerships Team and resolution of any challenges., • Manage all student and family paperwork related to the CWS program, ensuring timely completion and compliance with program requirements., • Collect student job preferences and primarily manage job placements, incorporating input from the Partnerships team to ensure strong matches between students and CWS partners., • Ensure all Corporate Work Study contracts are sent, signed, and properly filed, maintaining organized records for the program. Work with the Partnerships team to communicate to CWS partners as needed. Student Transportation and Experience Management • Coordinate student transportation to job sites, overseeing student check-in and check-out, and, • serving as the primary contact for transportation providers, chaperones, and transportation services., • Work with the President, Director of Finance & HR, and the Director of Operations to design and implement a new transportation plan to maximize student safety, efficiencies and cost effectiveness., • Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families regarding CWS, communicating key updates through broader parent/family communication channels., • Work with the Director of Operations to design and implement new communications processes and protocols to improve coordination with the Principal, Academic team, and Partnerships teams to communicate student absences, disciplinary, and other issues., • Alert the Academic and Partnerships teams about any performance issues at their CWS job placement. Work with the teams to craft the appropriate student success plan., • Provide weekly reports of transportation costs to the Director of Operations and Finance team to ensure efficient use of resources and cost effectiveness. Teaching and Curriculum Development • With oversight from the Principal and Academic teams, design and teach a professional development class focused on essential workplace and life skills such as resume writing, skills assessment, interviewing, and communication skills, with a curriculum aligned to support student success in their CWS jobs., • Collaborate with the Academic and CWS Partnerships and Operations teams to ensure instruction reflects current workplace expectations and addresses areas where students may need additional support., • Provide 1:1 student support when needed and as determined by the Director of Operations and Principal. May include office hours, weekly meetings with the student and personalized professional development curriculum., • Create and implement student feedback strategy on job sites and current CWS experience to ensure alignment with student expectations and student success. Reporting & Compliance Tracking • Oversee and ensure Department of Labor (DOL) compliance and rigorous documentation of said DOL compliance., • Attend site visits to conduct necessary oversight DOL compliance., • Manage the CWS operations budget, track partner payments, and collaborate with the Finance Team on invoicing and special payment requests. QUALIFICATIONS Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth. In addition, they will meet or exceed the following requirements: • Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years experience in teaching and/or education fields Experience with managing 1-2 direct reports, • Outstanding documentation, written and oral communication skills, • Highly organized, capable of balancing and prioritizing concurrent projects and deadlines Exceptional attention to detail, • Demonstrated experience in working with students and families, • Ability to execute projects independently, • Ability to work either early mornings (7:30 am) or late afternoons / early evenings (5:30 pm) for student transportation daily check-in, • Experience in teaching to youth and job development experience, • Able to work collaboratively with other departments, • Able to develop effective professional relationships with a diverse spectrum of parents / guardians, corporate partners, alumnae, vendors, faculty, staff and volunteers, • Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, • Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM management systems a plus, • Preferred proficiency in Spanish a plus, but not required WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY Here at ICA, we value all candidates with a diverse set of backgrounds, experience, and skills and always treat all employees and job applicants based on merit, qualifications, competence, and talent.
