As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Product Management will build and lead the product management function for Oncourse, playing a pivotal role in the company's transition from a project-based structure to a product-led operating model. This leader will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to drive this transformation. This role will lead a team responsible for deeply understanding business objectives, identifying technology solutions, aligning priorities, and partnering with technology teams to deliver value- driven outcomes. The Head of Product will be accountable for shaping and managing the product roadmap across agile squads to ensure the business meets the needs of its customers, partners, and employees while advancing strategic business goals. As a key decision-maker, this individual will influence prioritization, navigate trade-offs, and guide investment strategies in collaboration with IT and other business leaders. They will also be responsible for building and developing a high-performing, customer-centric product organization. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, agile execution, and the ability to lead through ambiguity. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, collaborative leader who can deliver measurable results in a fast-paced environment, fostering continuous improvement across digital experiences and technology platforms. Located at our office in Naperville, IL our office, environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Role Responsibilities: • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives. Critical product areas include: Digital, Contact Center technologies (e.g. Salesforce), and the claims technology platform., • Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on customer feedback, stakeholder input, and business impact, in close collaboration with technology, • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Owners and Product Designers (UI/UX/Visual Design) responsible for defining features, managing backlogs, establishing acceptance criteria, and validating deliverables., • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations to gather business requirements and deliver impactful, customer-centric digital solutions., • Serve as the subject matter expert on customer-facing digital platforms and advocate for innovative user experience strategies, consistently incorporating the voice of the, • Design, prioritize, and execute experiments (in partnership with Marketing, BI, Commercial Finance, and Data Science) to validate product hypotheses aimed at improving customer acquisition and retention., • Leverage data and A/B testing to analyze user behavior and drive continuous optimization of conversion funnels., • Partner with technology teams throughout the product lifecycle—from concept to delivery—ensuring high quality, performance, and user satisfaction., • Present product vision, strategy, and progress to the executive team and other key., • Collaborate with engineering managers and project managers on sprint planning, managing expectations across both internal and external teams., • Support agile delivery processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release cycles in coordination with project management and engineering., • Cultivate a culture of transparency, collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the product, • Attract, retain, and develop top talent across the product team, building succession plans for key roles and ensuring team scalability and growth. We’re Excited if this is You Experience and Qualifications of the role: • 10+ years of relevant experience including 8+ years of extensive experience leading product management teams working on front-end digital experiences as well as business-enabling technology platforms (i.e. Salesforce), • 5+ years of direct people management experience with a track record of consistently recognizing and rewarding excellent performance and addressing performance issues head-on, without delay., • Manages individuals situationally based on the person's skill level, work style, and areas of opportunity, • Experience working with Agile - requirement definition, ticket creation, sprint management and other rituals, • An analytical product manager with strong product instincts, with expertise developing human-centered experiences, • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead, • Ability to communicate well, in both small and large groups, • Comfortable with giving and receiving candid feedback, • Comfortable with working with multiple partners and stakeholders throughout the business: BI, Data Science, Marketing to define features, • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing product teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments, • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align product initiatives with business goals and objectives, • Knowledge of Scrum/Kanban Agile workflow methodologies, • An Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience. The base pay range for this position is $241,655 - $325,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
