Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a Die Setter responsible for safely and efficiently performing mold changes, machine setups, and equipment adjustments for production and sample runs. This role supports overall production quality, machine performance, and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities • Perform mold changes (goal: up to 6 mold changes per 8-hour shift; part-to-part change within 1 hour)., • Set up work cells, primary/secondary equipment, and processes per cycle sheets., • Inspect, clean, and maintain molds, nozzle tips, clamps, fittings, bolts, waterlines, and machine components., • Safely operate lift trucks and follow all PPE and safety requirements (LOTO, open-palm tightening method, proper thread engagement, etc.)., • Maintain a clean, organized work area, including sweeping, cleaning safety glass, machines, and auxiliary equipment., • Troubleshoot minor production and quality issues with guidance from the foreman., • Document equipment issues using the maintenance work order system., • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and request replacements as needed., • Assist with training new or backup Die Setters., • Ensure all tasks meet safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED; 6 months–2 years related experience preferred., • Certifications: Hi-Lo License, Rigging, Crane Training., • Safety conscious with strong time management and attention to detail., • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs repeatedly (up to 40 times per shift)., • Ability to understand material handling systems and follow detailed instructions., • Strong teamwork skills, self-motivated, and reliable.
