Job DescriptionVIP staffing is Immediately hiring an Electrical Component Technician for a leading organization in Albuquerque, NM This is a Full Time Temp To hire position the schedule is Monday-Friday 8am- 5pmPay for this position is $22.00 per hour As an Electrical Component Technician, you will: • Identify and specify electrical components (e.g., capacitors, resistors, wires, connectors, etc.) based on project or customer specifications and technical requirements., • Research available off-the-shelf components and suppliers, ensuring that selected parts meet industry standards, certifications, military standards (mil-specks), and project needs., • Assist in testing and evaluating components for performance, durability, and compatibility, • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including component specifications, data sheets, and procurement lists., • Inspect incoming components for quality, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and identifying any defects., • Track and manage component inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating with procurement for reordering when necessary., • Communicate with suppliers to confirm part availability, lead times, and pricing., • Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate components into system designs and troubleshoot any issues with component compatibility or performance., • Complete additional tasks as assigned to them by their supervisor. Electrical Component Technicians must meet the following requirements for consideration:, • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an electrical or electronics environment., • Associate's degree in electrical technology, Electronics, or a related field. Equivalent work experience or technical certifications may be considered., • Knowledge of electrical components and their applications., • Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics, datasheets, and technical drawings., • Proficiency in using testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to evaluate component performance., • Basic understanding of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IPC, etc.), • Strong Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues., • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with other departments., • Adaptability to respond quickly to changes and manage a fast-paced environment., • Attention to detail and focus on quality control., • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks, • Ability to meet vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment., • Must be able to stand, walk, talk, and hear during the shift.
