General Description: Reporting to the Head of Asset Integrity within the Asset Management function, the business requires an Electrical Asset Integrity Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all electrical engineering work scopes across offshore wind assets. This role is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining asset integrity strategies for high-voltage electrical systems throughout the operational lifecycle. You will provide technical leadership, interface management, and engineering assurance for high‑voltage electrical systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially sound delivery. The role will interface closely with asset integrity, operations, HSE, supply chain, and external service providers and will span multiple offshore wind assets. Core Main Accountabilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain asset integrity strategies for electrical systems including offshore and onshore substations, export and array cables, and associated HV equipment., • Act as the electrical asset integrity technical authority, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements., • Define integrity management plans, inspection regimes, condition monitoring strategies, and performance standards for electrical assets., • Provide engineering assurance over inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification activities affecting electrical systems., • Interface with operations, OEMs, and service providers to ensure effective execution of asset integrity activities., • Review and approve technical documentation including inspection reports, condition assessments, defect evaluations, and repair scopes., • Support failure investigations, root cause analysis, and defect management processes, ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented., • Identify degradation mechanisms and integrity risks, implementing mitigation measures proportionate to risk., • Support life-extension assessments, obsolescence management, and long-term asset management planning., • Provide input into budgets, expenditure forecasts, and integrity-related investment cases., • Engage with certification bodies, insurers, and regulators as required to support continued asset compliance., • Promote and embed a strong safety culture aligned with high-voltage electrical and offshore wind best practice. Required Academic and Professional Experience: • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or demonstrable equivalent experience., • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering roles with significant exposure to asset integrity, operations, or maintenance., • Proven experience within offshore wind, high-voltage transmission, or large-scale power infrastructure, • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership preferred., • Experience in operational asset management or life-cycle engineering is desirable. Required Knowledge and Competencies: Demonstrable knowledge in all the following areas is required: • Electrical systems used in offshore wind, including HV AC systems typically in the 66kV–400kV range., • Offshore and onshore substations, export and array cable systems, and electrical balance of plant., • Asset integrity management principles, including inspection, monitoring, degradation assessment, and defect management., • Relevant standards and guidance (e.g. IEC, BS, DNV) applicable to HV electrical assets., • Knowledge of electrical safety rules, permit systems, and operational controls., • Understanding of CDM Regulations and health, safety, and environmental best practice., • Experience supporting operational assets, including interaction with control rooms, maintenance teams, and offshore personnel., • Awareness of common offshore wind electrical failure modes and integrity threats., • Knowledge of electrical protection, control, SCADA, and control room environments., • Experience across all stages of project delivery, from concept and FEED through to installation and final commissioning., • Strong technical judgement and confident ability to make risk-based integrity decisions., • Structured and methodical approach to asset management and assurance., • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across disciplines and organisations., • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical issues into clear business impacts., • Ability to influence and challenge constructively across disciplines and organisations. Proactive self‑starter with a structured approach to project, contract, and risk management., • High level of organisational and prioritisation skills, managing multiple assets and issues., • Commercially aware and solution‑focused, able to balance technical excellence with business needs., • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and learning Languages: The project has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Proficiency in other languages will be valued. Location: Ocean Winds operate a flexible working policy although the primary office location will be in Edinburgh.
