Depot Manager \nSalary: £40,000\n Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm\n Benefits: Company Vehicle | 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays\n \nOur client, a leading provider of machine control and survey technology, is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead their Machine Control Department in Leeds.\n \nReporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for depot performance, working with the technical support team hire & sales, service, logistics, and equipment preparation. This is a hands-on leadership role within a specialist and fast-evolving technical environment.\n \nThe Role\nYou will lead the day-to-day operations of the Machine Control department, ensuring excellent customer support, efficient service delivery, and strong commercial performance.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage the Machine Control depot team, including technical support staff, engineers, and coordinators\nWork with the Technical Support Team to ensure customer satisfaction and help resolve issues as they arise.\nOversee preparation, configuration, testing, and calibration of machine control equipment prior to dispatch\nEnsure all customer enquiries and technical issues are handled promptly and professionally\nCoordinate installations, support visits, and resource planning for engineers and field staff\nDrive revenue through effective utilisation of equipment, upselling services, and managing customer subscriptions\nOversee hire contracts, service activity, and billing accuracy, ensuring all chargeable elements are captured\nEnsure strong communication between departments including sales, logistics, accounts, and procurement\nMaintain high standards of customer service, building long-term relationships with clients\nEnsure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards, and regulatory requirements\nProduce reports and track performance against operational and financial targets \nAbout You\n\nProven experience in depot, branch, or operations management\nBackground in machine control, survey equipment, construction technology, or plant hire preferred\nStrong leadership and team development skills\nCommercial awareness with the ability to drive revenue and control costs\nStrong technical understanding or ability to manage technical teams effectively\nExcellent communication and customer-facing skills\nOrganised, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment\nStrong problem-solving ability with a structured approach \nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of £40,000\nCompany vehicle\nMonday–Friday working pattern\n25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays\nOpportunity to lead a specialist, growing, and technology-driven department \nNext Steps\nIf you’re interested, apply with an up-to-date CV via this advert or contact Jack at Kemp Recruitment on (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion
