We're expanding our Planning Team and are looking for a Senior Development Planner to help shape and deliver our portfolio of renewable energy projects — with a particular focus on onshore wind. As a key player with focus on the south of England, you'll lead the planning and consenting process across multiple projects, offering professional planning advice from site identification through to public inquiries and post-consent compliance. Your Role You’ll be responsible for: • Developing tailored planning strategies for new and existing renewable energy projects, • Leading and coordinating planning applications, EIA processes, and appeals, • Managing consultants and liaising with LPAs, communities, and key stakeholders, • Monitoring national and local policy changes, and preparing timely responses, • Supporting operational sites with ongoing planning requirements You'll work closely with our Planning Director, Project Managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to navigate complex planning systems and help bring projects to life. Our Electrical Power & Cooling Engineers are at the heart of keeping BT’s networks operating 24/7 365 days a year. Utilising their expertise and knowledge in both Low and High Voltage systems, generators, emergency lighting, cooling, alarms and UPS they ensure that the BT estate continues to work no matter the circumstances. Working with their experienced teams within our exchange buildings as well as other environments, including radio sites, rooftops and outdoors, they are required to support the variety of electrical power systems and cooling equipment that ensures our networks keep the UKs internet working.
