Location: West Midlands\nHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday\nSalary: £80,000 to £95,000 dependent upon experience, plus car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, bonus, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme\n \nAbout the Role \n \nAs General Manager you will be fully accountable for the performance and management of warehouse operations. This role offers the opportunity to define, plan, manage and sustain organisation and operational change and transformation projects that will truly make a difference. \n \nA full ‘360’ role, you will manage all aspects of the Distribution Centre covering inbound and outbound processing, warehouse management, distribution management, internal quality control, returns processing and stock integrity, safety, budget, Unipart Way, and compliance. \n \nManaging and delivering objectives through effective process management and leadership of your team, you will ensure that all customer SLA and KPIs are met and that a continuous improvement programme is rigorously managed through driving a culture of continuous improvement. \n \n As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:\n\nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental and quality standards\nEnsure ‘The Unipart Way’ is implemented and embedded across the site and use the principles to ensure operational excellence\nEmbed a culture of employee engagement across the site; where the site is considered to be exemplary\nOverall accountability for compliance with legal and ethical people management practice \nBe accountable for setting operational objectives in accordance with business plan and targets \nHave overall accountability for operational performance to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators and monitor performance through operational reviews and audits\nEnsure that the operating budget is set and managed within targets \nBe responsible for effective two-way communication processes with team, customer, and suppliers\n\nAbout You\n \nWe’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!\n\nExperience operating at a senior level in a logistics / warehouse environment - preferably automotive\nProven ability to manage large teams (100+) to deliver the required standards and performance\nSolid experience in defining, planning, managing and sustaining both organisation and operational change and transformation projects\nAbility to work under pressure in a challenging and constantly changing environment, evidenced by previous experience in a fast changing, volume driven working and customer environment\nCommercial acumen to understand, challenge, and manage financial decision making \nClear leadership skills, to inspire with energy and passion within and across Senior Leaders and their teams\nProven effective relationships with client / customer at a senior level\n\nAbout Unipart\n \nWe are a supply chain performance improvement partner.
