Our client NongHyup Bank London Branch is recruiting a Compliance Team Junior Staff (Korean Speaking) to join their business in the UK. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Main Works - Provide practical support to the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO in day-to-day compliance, risk and AML-related tasks. - Communicate regularly with the Head Office in Korea to share required documents, respond to information requests and assist with tasks assigned by Head Office. - Help with simple monitoring tasks such as checking completeness of files, updating spreadsheets, tracking deadlines and ensuring internal documents remain up to date. - Support internal reporting by drafting summaries, preparing meeting or Committee materials and organising compliance-related information for senior staff. - Assist with customer onboarding procedures by gathering KYC/KYB documents and performing initial checks to ensure completeness (full review will be conducted by senior staff). - Assist with preparing documents, collecting data, maintaining records and organising materials required for compliance and risk management processes. - Help maintain AML/CTF-related records, logs and registers under the guidance of the MLRO. - Support credit-related administrative processes such as file updates, preparing documents and liaising with the Credit Analyst for required materials. - Participate in policy or procedure updates by helping collect references, format documents and manage version tracking. - Complete internal training, maintain good documentation and follow instructions from senior team members on compliance and risk-related tasks. - Perform general administrative tasks and cross-functional support when required, especially during the early stage of the Branch’s establishment. 2. Other Requirements - Languages Required: Korean: Native-level fluency (essential), English: Native-level or professional fluency (preferred) - Work experience in an Asian bank, or in a related field, is preferred but not required. - Preferable experience in finance, accounting, compliance or market analysis. - Many tasks involve coordination in both Korean and English. - Demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and the capacity to work under time-sensitive or changing circumstances. - Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint for reporting and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will initially be assigned to the Compliance Team. However, depending on the operational needs of the Branch, the role may be reassigned to other departments such as Operations, HR/General Affairs, or Business Development as required. Candidates who are open to cross-functional assignments and multi-department exposure are preferred. 3.
