Vacancy Details Location: South Eastern Trust Hours: 37 Contract: Fixed term temporary for a period of 20 Months until 31st March 2028 Base Location: Scrabowview Community Wellbeing Service About the Role As a Youth Facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering the Peace of Mind group programme across the full South Eastern Trust area, including Newtownards, North Down, South Down, Lisburn and Castlereagh working with young people from diverse backgrounds across Northern Ireland. This project takes an early intervention and prevention approach to support young people's mental health, wellbeing and personal development. You'll work in community settings, facilitating structured youth sessions, building positive relationships, and creating inclusive spaces where young people feel seen, safe, and supported. You'll also help co-design workshops, events and social action projects that explore identity, culture, and shared community experience, all rooted in the context of Northern Ireland's post-conflict legacy. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging group-based programmes for young people aged 14-25, • Facilitate sessions on topics such as mental health, self-esteem, healthy relationships, identity and resilience, • Recruit and engage young people through community outreach and partnership work, • Collaborate with schools, youth organisations, and local agencies, • Embrace co-production- young people help shape everything we do What You'll Need:, • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), • At least 6 months' experience working with young people, families or minority groups, • Strong communication and facilitation skills, • Confidence in leading youth sessions and building group dynamics, • A full driving licence and access to a car (consideration given to disabled applicants), • Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends, • Ability to register with NISCC upon appointment Skills and Experience:, • Background in youth work, health and social care, or community development, • Experience working with funded programmes and understanding reporting requirements, • Understanding of issues such as intergenerational trauma, deprivation, substance misuse, and mental health in post-conflict communities, • Familiarity with co-production, early intervention, and holistic wellbeing approaches, • Strong organisational and IT skills, including Microsoft Office Why Join Inspire & Peace of Mind?
