Job Title: Conveyancing Team Leader Department: Residential Conveyancing Reports to: Managing Director Salary: £60k - £65k Location: Dartford Role Overview The Conveyancing Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision, and performance of a team of approximately 10–12 Conveyancing Paralegals. The role ensures that residential conveyancing matters are progressed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with UK property law, regulatory requirements, and firm standards, while maintaining excellent client care. Key Responsibilities Team Management & Leadership • Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of Conveyancing Paralegals, • Allocate caseloads fairly and monitor capacity, productivity, and deadlines, • Conduct regular one-to-ones, appraisals, and performance reviews, • Identify training needs and support ongoing professional development, • Oversee residential conveyancing files including freehold, leasehold, new builds, shared ownership, and remortgages, • Ensure matters progress in accordance with UK conveyancing practice and Land Registry requirements, • Review files to ensure accuracy, risk management, and compliance with firm policies, • Ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations, AML requirements, and lender panel obligations, • Monitor adherence to file management, AML checks, and audit requirements, • Promote a high standard of client care and communication across the team, • Handle escalated client complaints and service issues promptly and professionally, • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and efficiency, • Support the implementation of new procedures, technology, or best practices, • Strong experience in UK residential conveyancing, • Previous experience supervising or leading a conveyancing team, • Excellent knowledge of conveyancing processes, Land Registry procedures, and lender requirements, • Strong organisational and people-management skills, • Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and competing priorities, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Law degree, LPC, CILEx qualification, or equivalent experience, • Experience working in a high-volume conveyancing environment, • Familiarity with case management systems
