Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Quality Assurance & Improvement Adviser for a contract until 28th February 2027, working 3 days (21 hours) a week on an hourly rate of £28-£32.65 (PAYE), working days are flexible. Remote working with very occasional meetings onsite. Responsibilities • Contribute to the development, delivery and review of the Delivering Excellence Strategy and the QA&CI Learning Strategy, • Contribute to the development, implementation and review of the delivering excellence framework, quality policy, change management plan, guidance and checklist, associated processes and resources to ensure they remain fit for purpose, • Provide expert advice and recommendations in line with QA&CI best practice to leaders on quality assurance and improvement arrangements, audits and inspections, • Implement the QA&CI learning offer to build the quality, improvement and change capabilities of teams., • Coach and support Directors, HOS/HOR and managers to develop Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and associated quality measures, • Coach and support Directors, HOS/HOR and managers to plan and implement team-led changes resulting from improvement actions, • Work with teams to plan, prepare and deliver evidence requirements to support internal audit, external review and inspection, • Support Directors, HOS/HOR and managers to plan and deliver a programme of self-evaluations, • Develop, train and coach a network of QILs and Business Excellence Facilitators to undertake their roles within the Self Evaluation process and deliver the key outputs in a timely manner, • Develop and deliver a programme of effectiveness reviews to ensure self evaluations, CIAPs and QMPs deliver improvements in quality and performance, • Work with teams to plan, prepare and deliver continuous improvement projects, • Provide subject matter expertise to CPMO projects to ensure quality is embedded within the design and development of new products and services Essential Skills: • Demonstrable work experience, within a quality and/or improvement role, equivalent to SCQF level 9, or be educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g. Quality Management, Business Management, • EFQM Accredited Assessor, • Experience of leading self evaluations resulting in quantifiable improvements, • Experience of preparing for internal and external audits, inspections or reviews, • Experience of delivering/facilitating training, • Experience of identifying quality and performance measures to enhance team’s performance, • Experience of engagement with teams or partners on quality assurance and improvement arrangements and/or projects, • Track record of delivering superior results, • Track record of working with a range of stakeholders – internal and external, • A good understanding of performance management and data analysis, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills, • Good analysis and problem-solving skills, • Proficient in Office 365 applications: Outlook; Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Teams; OneNote, • Ability to compile clear and articulate documentation, • A good understanding and knowledge of change management, • High levels of personal responsibility, resolute, self-motivated and capable of working effectively under own initiative, as well as part of a wider team, • Strong customer focus and advocate of continuous improvement, • Good networker with ability to build constructive relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders, • Embraces change and has ability to remain highly effective in a changing and dynamic business environment, • Embraces change with a focus on delivering innovative solutions, • Coaches, engages and motivates others to deliver goals Desirable Skills: • Experience of developing quality related strategies, frameworks, policies and processes, • Experience of developing training, • Experience of initiating, developing and leading quality assurance and/or CI projects, • Experience of assessing the effectiveness of services/ products/processes, • Experience of managing and supporting multiple projects simultaneously, • Experience in the use of quality tools and techniques to drive improvement, • Experience of implementing change at an organisational and team level, • Solutions focused approach to problem solving, • Good Coaching skills, • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills, • Knowledge of ADKAR and its implementation, • Working knowledge of quality management, assurance and improvement, • Knowledge of EFQM and its implementation, • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques, • Applies creativity and innovative thinking in supporting the development and improvement of services, • Growth mindset If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
