Key Responsibilities and Requirements: As a Maintenance Manager at Rendall & Rittner, you will: • Bring a strong technical background in Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or similar building services, with previous experience in a supervisory role leading a small maintenance team., • Take a hands-on leadership approach, supervising on-site engineers and contractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards., • Operate effectively within a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks., • Carry out site inspections of key plant and infrastructure, including mechanical and electrical systems, plant rooms, tank rooms, and all communal areas, ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting., • Manage and oversee the reactive maintenance function, investigating reported issues, coordinating resources, and implementing proactive solutions to minimise recurrence., • Review and coordinate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with safe systems of work., • Administer the Permit-to-Work system, including the creation, authorisation, monitoring, and closure of permits for all applicable activities., • Monitor contractor performance and inspect completed works, ensuring quality standards and compliance requirements are met prior to sign-off., • Maintain and update all Health & Safety documentation, including safety files, compliance records, and COSHH registers., • Ensure all areas of responsibility are maintained to the high standards expected by the Landlord and Managing Agent, supporting the overall presentation and operational performance of the development. This is a key role where you'll be responsible for overseeing multiple residential sites, making sure everything runs smoothly-from build quality and safety to budgets and timelines. You'll be working closely with Site Managers, supporting and guiding them to deliver great results while keeping projects on track and customers happy. Projects vary but are typically multiphased new build schemes, Mix of both low-level apartments and traditional-built houses/townhouses, 100 - 500 unit phased projects.
