Job description Sales Account Manager Location: Bedfordshire (On-site) Direct Reports: 3 Purpose of the Role This is an ideal position for someone commercially sharp, relationship-led and hungry to drive growth. You’ll lead a small team, manage existing accounts, win new business and bring fresh ideas to push the commercial function forward. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Growth • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring a high level of service and retention., • Identify opportunities to save customers time and money, adding real value and strengthening trust., • Actively spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts., • Drive new business activity through outreach, meetings and consistent pipeline management., • Take full ownership of sales forecasting, reporting and pipeline accuracy., • Build a clear commercial plan to increase revenue across the customer base. Team Leadership • Lead, support and motivate a team of three, ensuring clear expectations and strong performance., • Oversee day-to-day activity, ensuring the team delivers at pace and with professionalism. Commercial Strategy & Campaigns • Bring fresh ideas for campaigns, marketing angles and business development initiatives., • Analyse customer trends and commercial behaviours to maximise revenue opportunities., • Represent the business with confidence during customer visits, meetings and presentations. Skills & Experience • Proven experience in account management, • Strong sales acumen and business development experience., • Ability to build rapport quickly with both new and existing customers., • Strong people-management experience, ideally leading a small team., • Confident, proactive and hungry to drive commercial growth., • Creative approach to outreach, campaigns and customer engagement., • Experience within Waste Management.
