The role Orbit Group is delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Communications Manager to join our Reputation & Brand team in this brand-new role. This integral role will see the Customer Communications Manager oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of customer-centric communication across both service communications and marketing communications,, setting the standard for customer communication across the organisation and building greater trust in Orbit by strengthening the customer brand and Orbit’s reputation. This role is part of Regulatory & Governance where you'll help us give colleagues the support and expertise they need to be brilliant. This is an agile working role with 1-2 days a week being based out of our Coventry office (subject to business need). What you'll achieve Oversee, plan and manage your team’s workflow, prioritising and challenging briefs, ensuring effective scheduling and alignment across teams. Play a leading role in taskforces, projects / programmes and workstreams, providing direction, support and counsel. Support crisis communications and incident management, including participation in the Out of Hours rota, spanning customer, colleague and media channels. Play a leading role in customer communications strategies for complex or high-risk situations. Be responsible for reviewing content that poses a reputational risk to Orbit, including the likes of media statements, complaints responses, legal letters and MP letters / emails. Ensure communications are customer-led using insight and engagement. Lead and develop your team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.What you'll bring Essential skills Passionate about contributing to the delivery of an excellent customer experience. Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification or appropriate experience in marketing or communications. Able to write high quality communications for a variety of audiences and channels. Experience of crisis / issues management with the ability to advise, show leadership and deliver communications in time-pressured situations. Experience of developing communication / or marketing strategies and using digital and print media to engage customers to build trust and strengthen reputations. Critical thinker, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively, strategically and project plan. Proven leadership of small teams with a high degree of political acumen and judgment and the ability to motivate, inspire and drive innovation. First class interpersonal skills - highly collaborative, able to build relationships, work effectively across groups and inspire confidence among stakeholders. The role Job Title: Tree Technician Apprentice To provide day to day contractual, administrative and operational support to the Tree team in delivering the Groups Tree Strategy. To be accountable for the collection and accurate recording of customer data along with processing and handling of asset data within defined timelines. Customer liaison and a high degree of customer care will be required along with an ability to deal with high volumes of enquiries and complaints via email and telephone. Work in conjunction with the Tree Officers, Tree Lead, internal teams and contractors to assist in specifying works, issuing jobs to contractors and updating systems following completed works; ensuring accuracy and value for money. Work towards completing a Business Administration L3 apprenticeship standardWhat you'll achieve: Support the Tree Lead in delivering a rolling three-year tree maintenance programme on all Orbit Group owned communal trees, and private owned properties where required. To assist in specifying works, issuing jobs to contractors and updating systems following completed works. Support the management and use of data within our systems and Ezytreev database to keep an up-to-date inventory of all trees which are Orbit Group’s responsibility. To monitor and manage the tree team inbox to ensure effective responses within 48 hours. To support the team on various projects and environmental matters. Customer liaison and a high degree of customer care will be required along with an ability to deal with high volumes of CSM enquiries and complaints. To support the Tree Technician and work towards being the first point of customer contact & resolution for incidents referred by the Customer Support Hub or other parts of the business, as may be required. The post holder will be required to support with first point resolution and technical support for both internal and external customers, in line with our Customer Commitments. Support the investigation of enquiries, appropriate record keeping, and replies to customers and stakeholders within agreed timescales. Work towards generating work programmes, based on cyclical / emergency surveys and customer enquiries. Work towards using own initiative to limit Orbit Group, its customers’, and the general public’s exposure to risk from trees. Assist the Tree Officers / Lead in the management of major incidents. To carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Tree Team.What you'll bring Essential skills: The ability to prioritise and multitask. Good telephone manner, demonstrating good etiquette to and empathy for the customer. Ability to use software packages such as Excel and Microsoft Word. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal GSCE English 4/C Math 4/C or equivalent Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
