    About Reva Care ReVa Care is a digital care marketplace that connects care seekers, families and care providers with independent care professionals. Through the ReVa Care platform, care professionals can view available care assignments, choose work that is suitable for them, set or agree their rates where applicable, and accept assignments from private care seekers or care organisations. ReVa Care does not guarantee a minimum number of assignments or hours of work. Care professionals operate on a self-employed basis and are responsible for managing their own tax, National Insurance, insurance and other statutory obligations. Role Purpose As a Self-Employed Care Professional, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to individuals who require support in their own homes, within care homes or in other agreed care environments. Assignments may include: • Personal care, • Companionship, • Respite care, • Day or night care, • Live-in care, • Support with daily living, • Support for older people, • Support for individuals with physical or mobility needs, • Dementia and memory-support assignments, where appropriately experienced, • Other care and support services within your skills and competence You will have responsibility for delivering the services you have agreed to provide and for maintaining professional standards throughout each assignment. Key Responsibilities A. Person centred Care - Provide respectful, dignified and compassionate support to the person receiving care. B. Care and Support C. Safeguarding - You are expected to protect the safety, dignity and wellbeing of every person receiving care. D. Health and Safety - You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of the person receiving care. E. Care Homes - Where an assignment is undertaken within a care home, you are expected to work cooperatively with the home's staff and comply with the care home's reasonable site, safety, safeguarding and infection-control requirements. Independence and Self-Employed Status - The role is intended to be undertaken on a self-employed basis. As an independent care professional, you: • Choose which assignments you wish to apply for or accept through the ReVa Care platform, • Are not guaranteed a minimum number of hours or assignments, • Are responsible for determining whether an assignment is suitable for you, • Are responsible for maintaining your own professional competence, • Are responsible for your own tax and National Insurance obligations, • Are responsible for maintaining any insurance required for your activities, • May provide services to other clients or organisations, subject to your contractual obligations and applicable law, • Are responsible for providing your services with reasonable skill and care, • Must comply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements relevant to the services you provide Qualifications and Experience Depending on the assignment, desirable or required experience may include: • Previous experience in health or social care, • Care Certificate or equivalent care experience, • Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, • Experience working with older people, • Experience with dementia care, • Experience with personal care, • Experience with mobility and moving and handling, • Experience with complex care, where relevant, • Live-in care experience, where relevant The specific qualifications, training and experience required may vary according to the care assignment. DBS and Background Checks Where appropriate, care professionals may be required to obtain a suitable DBS check before undertaking certain assignments. Any DBS requirements will depend on the nature of the services being provided and the applicable legal and contractual requirements. Care professionals must disclose relevant information where legally required and must not knowingly provide false or misleading information during onboarding. Availability and Assignments ReVa Care operates as a marketplace. Care professionals can: • View available assignments, • Review the care requirements, • Review the proposed rate and/or assignment terms, • Decide whether the assignment is suitable, • Apply for or accept the assignment, • Provide the agreed care, • Complete the assignment and required records, • Receive payment in accordance with the applicable ReVa Care terms Confidentiality and Data Protection Care professionals must protect confidential information relating to: • Care recipients, • Families, • Care homes, • Health and care information, • Personal information, • Financial information, • ReVa Care, • Other care professionals Payment The care professional will be paid in accordance with the applicable assignment terms and ReVa Care's current payment arrangements. Role Summary The ReVa Care Self-Employed Care Professional provides flexible, person-centred care to private care seekers and care organisations through the ReVa Care marketplace. The role is particularly suited to experienced care professionals who value flexibility, independence and the ability to choose assignments that suit their skills and availability.
