Job Description The Opportunity: We are seeking an ambitious, self-directed Sales Manager to accelerate revenue growth across the Americas and advance the digitization of the global weather and climate ecosystem. Operating with the autonomy of a regional owner, you will expand Spire's market presence across key industry segments, leverage our partner ecosystem to drive adoption of our forecast data, APIs, and decision-support solutions, and consistently exceed sales targets. Two segments sit at the center of this territory. The first is the financial sector — energy and commodity trading desks, hedge funds, and quantitative investment firms that treat weather as a tradable signal and buy differentiated data to sharpen their edge. The second is the U.S. electric utility and power market: the investor-owned utilities, public power authorities, independent power producers, and grid operators who generate electricity and keep the grid balanced, and for whom forecast accuracy translates directly into load planning, renewable generation, outage response, and reliability. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role for a seller who is energized by how data and software are reshaping traditional industries — and who wants to sell a product that is, quite literally, powered by space. What You'll Do: • Own a territory: Build and execute a territory plan spanning the Americas — from Canada and the United States through Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America— identifying and developing new business opportunities while growing and retaining existing client accounts., • Lead with our priority segments: Drive growth in the financial sector — engaging traders, portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and heads of data at trading houses, hedge funds, and asset managers — and across U.S. utilities, IPPs, and grid operators, where you will position Spire's forecasts against load forecasting, renewable generation, and grid reliability use cases., • Exceed targets: Meet and surpass assigned quotas through disciplined prospecting, qualification, and full-cycle deal execution., • Build lasting relationships: Develop strong, long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders across the weather, climate, and earth intelligence ecosystem — understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to tailor solutions accordingly., • Sell consultatively: Use a solution-selling approach to uncover clients' operational pain points and propose tailored offerings built on Spire's weather forecasts, historical data, and climate analytics., • Master the product: Develop deep expertise in Spire's data products and platforms — their features, differentiation, and applications — to communicate compelling value to technical and executive audiences alike., • Deliver winning proposals: Prepare and present persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and responses to tenders that clearly articulate Spire's value proposition., • Negotiate and close: Lead commercial negotiations on terms and pricing to reach mutually beneficial agreements and close deals reliably., • Manage your pipeline: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in our CRM, ensuring rigorous forecasting and timely follow-up on every lead and opportunity., • Know the market: Track industry trends, competitive movements, and emerging opportunities across your regions to inform strategy and identify new areas for growth., • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing, product, meteorology, and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and feed market insight back into product development. Basic Skills/Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on selling data products, SaaS, or API-based solutions., • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas., • Strong understanding of the weather and climate industry, or deep experience selling digital transformation into data-driven sectors such as financial markets, power and energy, maritime, aviation, agriculture, or logistics., • Proven success selling data, analytics, or alternative data into the financial sector — commodity, power, or weather derivatives trading desks, hedge funds, or quantitative funds — with the credibility to hold a technical conversation with traders, quants, and research leads and to navigate data-procurement and evaluation processes., • Experience selling into United States electric utilities, independent power producers, or grid operators — with a working understanding of how weather drives generation, load, • forecasting, renewable integration, outage and storm response, and grid reliability, and of how utility and public-power procurement cycles work., • A consultative, value-based selling style with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills., • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships across cultures, time zones, and seniority levels., • Proficiency with modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Lusha)., • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and effective working independently in a remote, globally distributed team., • Fluent in English; willingness to travel across the territory as needed., • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, preferably in a high-tech field., • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: • Additional language skills relevant to the Americas — Spanish, Portuguese, or French — are a strong plus, though not required., • An existing network within meteorology, earth observation, or climate-tech communities., • Familiarity with U.S. power market structure and the ISOs/RTOs — PJM, ERCOT, MISO, CAISO, SPP, NYISO, ISO-NE — or with FERC and NERC reliability requirements., • An established network on trading floors or among alternative-data buyers at hedge funds and quantitative investment firms., • Experience selling to or partnering with government agencies, national met services, or large enterprises in regulated industries. Why Spire? • Mission with impact: help organizations worldwide adapt to a changing climate using data collected from space., • Real ownership: a large, high-potential territory with the autonomy to build it your way., • Competitive compensation: base salary plus uncapped commission, and equity participation., • Flexible, remote-first working within a collaborative, international team spanning four continents., • Generous time off, local statutory benefits, and support for professional development. At Halter, we're on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time-intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly towards their next break? No quad bikes, no dogs, no fences. Just a group of cattle walking at their own pace. People say it looks like magic. Our customers are revolutionizing grazing with Halter. It's changing lives and transforming an industry. People join Halter to do meaningful work. By joining us you'll be solving challenging problems within a talented team and a culture built for high performance. Our team out-think, out-work and out-care. We're committed to delivering real change in the world - this isn't easy, and in truth, we love that it's hard. We're backed to deliver on a mission that matters by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, BOND, DCVC, Blackbird, Promus Ventures, Rocket Lab's Peter Beck and Icehouse ventures. To find out more, visit our LinkedIn & Instagram. We're looking for a builder to take Halter's US customer experience team into its next chapter. The team has been up and running for about a year, and now we need someone who can scale it, sharpen it, and push its operational maturity forward, driving performance through customer experience, data, automation, and AI. You'll own the day to day experience for every rancher and producer who reaches out to Halter across the US, and you'll be the person who decides what great, efficient support looks like for this region as it grows. Could it be a bit of you? You've grown or scaled an operation in a start-up environment before, you know the difference between running a team and optimizing one. You're customer obsessed in a way that shows up in how you talk, not just what you say. You default to understanding the producer's world first, whether that's a rancher moving cattle across open range or a producer managing a tight daily schedule. You're genuinely excited by operations and by using AI and automation to make a team faster and sharper, not as a buzzword, but as a real lever you'll pull daily. You know when human beats automated too, you drive efficiency where it helps the customer, but you protect and elevate the human experience where it matters, you're not chasing automation for its own sake. You know that scaling doesn't mean everything needs a process, you're just as ready to drop the framework and get scrappy when a customer needs something solved right now, as you are building the system that stops it happening again. You might find yourself coaching a specialist through an emotional call with a farmer who's lost cattle one moment, and reworking an automation flow with the AI team the next. Up for the challenge? Let's talk. What your day could look like: • You'll hire, onboard, and develop Halter's CX Specialists in the US as the team scales. You'll run the routines that keep a team sharp, coaching, 1:1s, quality reviews, and you'll raise the bar on performance and culture as headcount grows., • You'll step in on the complex, high-stakes, or emotionally charged tickets, whether it's a rancher's herd or a producer's operation on the line, and you'll use those moments to coach your team on how to handle them. You'll spend time with the field team and with producers directly, across ranching and producer operations, so you understand their world well enough to speak for them internally., • Driving operations and optimization - this is a big part of the role. You'll own the operational engine of US support, using data daily to find where the team is losing time, where automation could take over repetitive work, and where AI can make the difference between a good and a great customer experience. You won't just report on CSAT, response times, and cost to serve, you'll actively reshape how the team works to move those numbers., • You'll partner closely with our Ecosystems team to sharpen automation quality, and make sure the handoff from AI to human support feels seamless for the customer. You'll be a driving voice in what gets automated next and how, not just a downstream consumer of what AI delivers., • Being the voice of the US customer - you'll represent the US region in global planning and forecasting, and you'll feed insights back to Product and Engineering grounded in what you're actually seeing in the queue, across the full range of US customers., • You'll get out on ranch, spending real time with the ranchers and farmers who make up our US customer base. You'll learn how they actually run their operations, what keeps them up at night, and what winning looks like from their side of the fence. Territory Managers and Key Account Managers are your way into that world, you'll work alongside them in person, not just over Slack, so you catch customer health first hand, understand what's really driving escalations, and make sure any change you make on the support side lands well before it ever reaches a farmer. What we are looking for: • A genuine builder and operator. You've scaled or materially improved a team or function before, and you know the muscle of turning a working operation into a great one., • Startup or high growth experience. You know what it means to build the plane while flying it, and you're comfortable improving something that's already moving., • Obsessed with creating the best customer outcomes and experiences. That's the whole point of the role for you, not a line on a KPI dashboard., • Genuinely energized by AI and automation as tools to drive team performance, not just tech you tolerate., • Knows when to be scrappy. You don't wait for the perfect process when a customer needs a fast, hands-on fix, you go hard, solve it, then build the system so it doesn't happen again., • 3+ years leading and developing teams in a customer facing environment, support, operations, hospitality, or anywhere people and quality outcomes matter., • Comfortable moving between hands on problem solving and leadership in the same day., • Strong judgment under ambiguity. You make good calls when priorities shift and there's no clear precedent., • Clear, calm communication that builds trust fast, with your team and with Ranchers., • An improvement mindset. You're always looking for the smarter way to run things., • You know how to be fun and have fun Nice to haves: • Experience launching, scaling, or turning around a support or operations function., • An understanding of the ranching or Agriculture industry., • Familiarity with tools like Intercom, Salesforce, or similar systems., • Experience in ag-tech or with hardware/field deployed technology. At Halter, we're on a mission to enable ranchers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time-intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly towards their next pasture? No ATVs, no dogs, no fences. As the Customer Onboarding Lead U.S. (internally called a Launch Lead) at Halter, you'll lead a team of Onboarding Representatives (internally called Launch Representatives) deploying Halter onto new ranches across the United States. You own how launches happen in the US: how your team performs, how customers experience their first months with Halter, and how we deliver against our deployment goals. Launching means training ranchers and their animals on how to get the most out of our platform, and setting them up to successfully run their operation with Halter from day one. This is a leadership role with real ownership. You manage your team's delivery and performance, set the operating rhythm for the region, and own US new deployment ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue). You'll work closely with Sales, Support, Rev Ops, Product, and the Global Launch team to make sure launches go well, customers see value fast, and the team is set up to scale as we grow across the US. You'll be close enough to the field to know what's actually happening on ranches, and operational enough to spot patterns, fix what's broken, and build what's missing. • Deliver against US new deployment ARR goals, • Lead the regional operating rhythm so customer delivery stays consistent as we scale, • Watch leading indicators of risk and opportunity, and act through your team to improve outcomes, • Find patterns across customer segments and shape strategies that improve adoption, time-to-value, and long-term retention, • Track and improve US CSat response rate to understand what's working and where to dig in, • Balance high-touch customer experience with operational efficiency, • Manage your team's day-to-day delivery and performance against launch targets (Reps own the accounts; you set the standard and clear the path), • Set clear expectations and drive execution through team routines, coaching, and accountability, • Plan US capacity and capability to match new deployment ARR growth, • Hire, onboard, and ramp new Launch Reps in line with regional growth plans, • Build a high-performance culture through coaching, feedback, development plans, and upskilling, • Champion process consistency, tooling hygiene, and quality standards across the team, • Deliver against regional ARR goals and own regional Launch cost, • Improve efficiency without compromising customer outcomes or experience, • Spot where time and effort go to low-value work, and redesign how the team operates, • Build repeatable workflows that cut time-to-resolution and operational overhead, • Escalate systemic issues to the Global Launch team to solve at the root, • Work closely with Sales to manage handoffs and set clear customer expectations, • Partner with Rev Ops and Support to keep launches operationally sound, • Give Product and Engineering structured feedback based on regional context and adoption barriers, • Represent the US region in global planning, forecasting, and improvement work, • A track record leading customer-facing teams that deliver real outcomes at scale, • Experience coaching and developing frontline team members, with clear expectations and consistent follow-through, • Strong operator: runs multiple priorities, builds clean feedback loops, and drives work to completion, • Comfort using data to diagnose what's working, what's not, and where to focus, • Ability to zoom out to redesign how the team operates, and zoom in to unblock a stuck deployment, • Bias to action: makes good calls with imperfect info, and knows when to escalate, when to experiment, and when to standardize, • Confident partnering across functions and influencing without relying on authority, • Clear, direct communication, • Genuine care for the people we serve and the quality of the work, • Agriculture or ranching experience, • Startup or high-growth environment experience, • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Intercom, or similar systems, • Experience working in ag-tech, • Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual USD$750 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth., • Health Benefits - We offer best-in-class insurance for our employees, so they can care for themselves and their families., • 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers plus many other parental benefits that support you and your family., • Our time to recharge is valued, we're offered wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave., • We're proud to offer 401k and make an employer match. We offer a 100% match on the first 3% you contribute, and a 50% match on the next 2%. Importantly, we offer an inclusive and attractive remuneration package made up of salary, benefits and an employee stock ownership plan.
