Volt is immediately hiring SPC Supply Chain Analyst in Irvine, CA The Impact You’ll Make in this Role: As a Supply Chain Analyst with a focus on rebranding initiatives, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of supply chain activities. You will be instrumental in aligning supply planning and production scheduling with rebranding objectives, including managing Bill of Material (BOM) updates, planning Phase In/Phase Out (PIPO) activities, and actively minimizing scrap and waste. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across departments to support optimal inventory levels, production timelines, and overall supply chain efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your analytical skills, production scheduling expertise, and project management abilities to drive impactful results during a dynamic period of change. Key Responsibilities: • Bill of Material (BOM) Updates for Rebranding: Oversee and execute necessary updates to Bills of Materials (BOMs) to reflect required changes, ensuring accuracy and timely implementation across all relevant product lines., • Phase In/Phase Out (PIPO) Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive PIPO plans. This includes managing inventory transitions, coordinating production schedules, and minimizing disruptions to supply., • Scrap Minimization: Develop and implement plans to minimize. Track and report on scrap reduction efforts., • Production Scheduling and Procurement: supporting production schedules for assigned product lines, considering the complexities of the SKU changes, including packaging, semi-finished, and finished goods. Create procurement plans for required materials (RMs) and manage purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring a steady supply of both new and potentially legacy materials during the transition., • Inventory Management: Manage inventory targets by paying close attention to the PIPO, monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet fluctuating business needs., • Planning Analysis and Decision Support: Conduct in-depth planning analyses to support decision-making processes. Deliver clear insights on inventory transitions, potential risks, and mitigation plans. Publish and present metrics related to service levels, inventory performance (including scrap), and capacity., • Process Improvement Projects: Participate in continuously improving supply chain planning and production scheduling processes, with a specific focus on streamlining the changes and minimizing waste. Identify and drive initiatives that optimize the transition and improve response times. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field (completed and verified before starting). Experience: • Minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or procurement., • Specific experience in managing BOM updates and PIPO processes, ideally within a product change context., • Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience in planning and scheduling in a dynamic environment., • Technical Skills:, • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis. Experience with SAP, IMES, Oracle, or other ERP/MRP systems., • Familiarity with inventory management and planning tools to optimize supply chain operations and informational flow., • Familiarity with SAP (and S4 HANA) is a plus. Certifications: • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification is preferred, with a willingness to pursue certification if not already attained., • Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus. Soft Skills: • Strong communication skills, able to present complex data clearly and confidently, including updates and challenges., • Self-motivated, with proven teamwork and strong project management and coordination capabilities, especially in cross-functional settings., • This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.
