Job Description POSITION – Senior Low Voltage Technician/Foreman II May start at a 1099 subcontractor status during 90 day probationary period to then transition into full-time permanent position Primary Requirements: • Must have 10+ years of expert to mastery foreman level experience in low voltage commercial installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning structured cabling, access control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and Intercom systems., • Proficient knowledge of Audio Video system installation and configurations highly preferred, • Must have OSHA-30 certification, current CPR/AED and Mobile Elevated Lift certifications GENERAL DESCRIPTION • Lead a team of technicians to perform the pulling, dressing, terminations, and testing of structured cabling and fiber, • Installing, configuring, programming, and testing of access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection equipment and systems, • Manage multiple projects to deliver successful implementations by meeting project requirements and adhering to industry and company standards, • Coordinate with project management staff and procurement to ensure availability of materials and equipment, • Manage resource labor hours, which include collecting/tracking timesheets and allocating labor tasks, • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and schematics, • Participate in on-site progress meetings and provide updates to project managers, • Identify risks and provide specific mitigation solutions and recommendations to customers on most time and cost efficient methods, • Demonstrate resourcefulness in assessing and troubleshooting of issues and problems, • Inspect quality throughout project and finished projects to ensure confirmation of all specifications and requirements are met, • Set up and test installed systems and train customers as required, • Continually learn new products, upgrades and software programs related to low voltage systems, • Represent HS Solutions in a professional manner at all times, • Abide by OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols and use protective equipment continually to teams QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • Ability to independently interpret and communicate blueprints, specifications and designs, and implement complex low voltage systems by creating and updating team work schedules throughout duration of project, • Expert experience in installing, configuring, programming, and holds in depth knowledge of, but not limited to:, • Structured cabling (Category data cabling, fiber optic, security, audio, video, etc.), • Public address and intercommunication systems, • Telecom closet and rack build-out, design and build IDFs and MDF, • Perform field installation, configure, and programming of access control and security wiring, equipment, systems, and control programs (Brivo, DMP, Honeywell, etc.), PA systems (e.g. Atlas, Telecore, Bogen, etc.), • Direct familiarity with installation and overall integration of projection displays, screens and related A/V systems and equipment such as amplifiers, mixers, and microphones, entertainment systems, flat panel displays, distributed audio systems, etc., • Master level experience with test and calibration equipment, • Experience working in large enterprise, commercial environment and construction sites, • Ability to manage and motivate teams with proven leadership experience, • Provide clear expectations of deliverables, explaining complex information to clients and technicians, and discuss technical details with other building specialists, • Attend on-site meetings, host tool box, safety talks, and compile site required documentation (e.g. JHA, AHA, daily/weekly/monthly reports, etc.), • Excellent interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication for internal and external communications and reporting, • Must be able to work independently or on a team at locations in and around Washington, DC and Baltimore metro areas, • Ability to exercise sound judgment and find effective solutions, • Familiar with industry standards for ADA and life safety codes, • Must have clean driving and criminal records and successfully pass drug tests and background checks PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., • Ability to work at heights (lifts and ladders), • Must be able to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • At minimum, must be a high school graduate, • Able to read and write basic English and compute basic math functions, • Experience with Procore, Adobe, Bluebeam, and major software products (Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, etc.), • OSHA-30 Certification, • CPR/AED Certification, • Mobile Elevated Platform certification, • Bachelor’s degree in related field or business a plus
