Core Values: Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, Diversity Student Age Range: 6 weeks to 12 years old Position SummaryThe Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest learners. This role is vital in ensuring every child receives individualized attention, care, and encouragement during their early stages of development. The Assistant Teacher will help implement daily routines, support classroom activities, and maintain strong communication with families and staff. Duties Key Responsibilities·Assist in supervising and always ensuring the safety and well-being of infants and toddlers ·Support the Lead Teacher in planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons ·Provide nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting children as needed ·Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment ·Observe and document children’s progress, sharing observations with the Lead Teacher ·Encourage positive social interactions and model respectful behavior ·Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s daily experiences ·Participating in staff meetings, ongoing training, and professional development opportunities ·Uphold The Noble Academy’s mission, values, and faith-based principles in all interactions Requirements Candidate Requirements·High school diploma or equivalent required ·At least 6 months of experience working with infants or toddlers in a group setting ·Demonstrated patience, compassion, and genuine love for children ·Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team ·Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations ·CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire) ·Strong communication and organizational skills Nice To Haves ·Associate’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field ·Experience in a faith-based educational setting ·Knowledge of child development best practices ·Bilingual abilities are a plus Benefits Compensation and Benefits·Salary Range: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications ·Employee tuition discount for enrolled children (If space is available). ·Professional development and training opportunities ·Supportive, family-oriented workplace culture About Us Since 2006, The Noble Academy, Inc. has been offering the highest quality Christian based education programs and child care services from children 6 weeks to 12 years old in the Richmond, VA and Chesterfield, VA areas.
