Job DescriptionPosition Overview The Asset/Move Project Manager I is responsible for the end-to-end management of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and relocation activities across new construction, renovation, and swing space projects. This role oversees all phases of FF&E and move management, including programming, budgeting, procurement, scheduling, installation, and closeout, ensuring seamless project execution and successful occupancy of facilities. Key ResponsibilitiesFF&E Project Management * Lead FF&E planning, programming, budgeting, and specification development for assigned projects * Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring compliance with best-value and public contracting requirements * Manage FF&E schedules, delivery logistics, installation, and punch-list completion * Review architectural and construction documents to ensure proper coordination of electrical, data, and infrastructure requirements * Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to align FF&E scope with project goals * Provide budget tracking, reporting, and value engineering to maintain cost control Relocation & Move Management * Develop move scopes, manage bidding processes, and evaluate vendor proposals * Coordinate all phases of relocation, including pre-move, move, and post-move activities * Oversee on-site move execution to ensure timely and efficient transitions * Identify and manage swing space requirements, including setup and readiness Stakeholder Coordination * Partner with College Project Directors (CPD), A/E teams, contractors, and Building User Groups (BUGs) * Coordinate with Procurement, IT teams, and Asset Management for FF&E and technology integration * Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates and reporting Logistics & Operations * Coordinate delivery schedules, site access, and installation logistics * Manage vendor activities, including movers, installers, and specialty contractors * Oversee asset tagging, surplus disposition, and inventory tracking * Maintain comprehensive project documentation (purchase orders, invoices, shipping records, etc.) * Support project closeout, including final inspections and documentation handover Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (or 8-12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) * 6-10 years of experience in project management, relocation/move management, FF&E coordination, or facilities management * Strong knowledge of FF&E procurement, specifications, and installation processes * Ability to read and interpret architectural and furniture drawings * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tools such as Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Flexibility to work across multiple project sites Preferred Qualifications * Experience in education or public sector projects * Background in FF&E procurement, sourcing, or asset management * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or design software * Certifications such as CID, CCIDQ, LEED, or memberships with IIDA, AIA, IFMA Company DescriptionW3Global was established in 2006 in Fremont, CA with a vision: simplify the recruiting process and develop an industry-disrupting platform to connect candidates with clients. How your role fits into Boldt: As a Senior Project Manager for the Boldt Company, you will lead and manage all aspects of the development and implementation of large, multifaceted projects and complete projects from original concept to final implementation and commissioning. This role has responsibility for training and coaching our project teams and the protection and promotion of the interests of Boldt on our projects every day. This role will also verify that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality that meets the budget. This hands-on role will lead the communication efforts for internal and external project reporting and be responsible for managing the project team. Measure and analyze performance of our operational improvements and efforts., • Help develop operational training programs and provide ongoing coaching to ensure alignment with training objectives., • Ensure the team has a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents (including Boldt’s contract, plans, specifications, and applicable codes)., • Lead implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Built in Quality (BiQ) process for the project., • Lead the Boldt Production System (BPS). This includes master scheduling, production strategies, make work ready, weekly, and daily planning and production tracking., • Lead subcontractor trade coordination meetings, look ahead planning meetings and submittal review meetings., • Lead the supply chain procurement process to assure that it aligns with project schedule., • Control costs and enhance revenues to achieve project goals. Manage the project overall budget., • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to our project target budget requirements., • Recommend or approve budgets and expenditures and implement ways to improve operational efficiencies., • Oversee detailed contract item lists including all significant items required for the construction of the project. Develop trade scope of work documents for bid packages, major material, and equipment purchases., • Oversee scopes of work and complete subcontracts and purchase orders., • Demonstrate a strong commitment to serve others along with a high concern for people all the while maintaining a steady focus on project outcomes., • Effect change by modeling and reinforcing a continuous improvement culture. Establish operational initiatives to improve the delivery of the project in all areas such as design, schedule, quality, cost, safety and delivery methods; deliver project results with an emphasis in client satisfaction, project schedules, budgets and margins., • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential., • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field required; a combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree., • Ten or more years’ experience in construction project management and related functions, including ground-up healthcare construction., • Three more years' experience with OSHPD/HCAI, • IPD/LEAN/IFOA experience in the healthcare sector strongly preferred., • Broad understanding of successful project delivery including financial data, production planning, and lean process improvement techniques., • Ability to apply innovative management techniques to inspire and empower teams to produce desired results. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to position self to maneuver in confined or awkward spaces. The employee regularly is required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces. Employee is occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to optimally communicate while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties. The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends. This range represent what The Boldt Company reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Whittier, CA location. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
