Position Summary The Education Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of NEHA’s education and training programs. This position helps ensure that courses, webinars, podcasts, professional development initiatives, and the Annual Education Conference (AEC) and other conferences are organized, executed, and evaluated effectively. The Coordinator will work closely with leadership, colleagues, subject matter experts, and external partners to ensure that NEHA’s educational offerings are high-quality, accessible, and aligned with organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities • Assist Education Director in management of a full educational conference portfolio including compiling resources, coordinating conference sessions, webinars, podcasts, and times, and corresponding with submitters and key speakers and ensuring changes are coordinated effectively., • Coordinate logistics for non-grant educational programs, including scheduling, registration, communications, and participant support., • Assist Senior Project Coordinator with conference logistics, • Support grant-funded educational programs, as needed., • Maintain and update learning management system (LMS) content, course listings, and participant records., • Assist in program evaluation by tracking metrics, compiling feedback, and generating reports to measure effectiveness and identify improvements for ANAB accreditation standards., • Support the development of new training resources by coordinating timelines, gathering materials, and liaising with subject matter experts., • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, instructors, and partners to ensure a positive learning experience., • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, communications, finance) to promote and support training initiatives., • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance program delivery., • Provide administrative and operational support for conferences, workshops, and other educational events as needed, including collating and shipping materials. Physical Requirements • Ability to occasionally lift 30 lbs. or less., • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time., • Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment., • Ability to read required reports and computer screen. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in education, public health, business administration, or public relations or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered., • 2–3 years of experience in program coordination, education/training, or related field., • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new technology platforms (e.g., LMS, conference platforms, project management tools)., • Experience in educational conference planning, • Experience with public health, food safety, or professional development programming., • Familiarity with online learning technologies and adult education principles. What we Offer The annual salary range for this position is $58,000-$68,000 depending on education, credentials and experience. We offer a generous benefits package including paid time off and health, dental, and vision plans with employee premiums paid 100% by the association. Evaluation Period There will be a 90-Day Evaluation Period for Employment. The 90-Day Evaluation Period is designed to allow both the employee and NEHA an opportunity to evaluate the suitability of the employment relationship. During this period, both parties can assess the employee's ability to meet the requirements and expectations of the position and determine if the role aligns with the employee's professional aspirations and capabilities. Throughout the 90-Day Evaluation Period, the employee will be assessed on several criteria including, but not limited to: Quality of work, timeliness of deliverables, teamwork and collaboration, adherence to policies and procedures, ability to meet job-specific benchmarks and targets.
