Academic offerings include the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Master of Interior Design, available in on-campus and hybrid formats, as well as fully online programs including the Bachelor of Science in Interaction and Experience Design, the Bachelor of Science in Product Design and Management, and the Master of Project Management. \n \n Position Summary \n DI is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Specialist and Outreach Representative to support marketing, content, events, and prospective student outreach efforts. This role is primarily focused on marketing execution, including content creation, social media, event promotion, marketing materials, campaign support, and coordination of projects that increase awareness of DI and its academic programs. This role will also represent DI in the community through seasonal outreach activities such as college fairs, high school and community college visits, and other recruitment events. \n \n The Marketing Specialist and Outreach Representative will develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of DI programs, student experience, career pathways, policies, admissions procedures and applicable compliance requirements. This role is a good fit for an early-career professional who enjoys creating content, managing projects, engaging with students and the campus community, and building relationships with prospective students and community partners. \n \n The position is primarily campus-based with some remote work. Approximately 25% of the role is expected to involve outreach over the course of the year, with activity varying based on the recruitment calendar and typically becoming more concentrated during peak outreach seasons. \n \n Primary Duties and Essential Functions \n Marketing Specialist 65% \n\n • Support the execution of marketing and content strategies developed in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.\n, • Create and coordinate written, graphic, photographic, email, web, social media, and short-form video content that supports awareness and enrollment goals.\n, • Assist with content calendars, social media scheduling and publication, event promotion, and digital community engagement.\n, • Develop marketing and recruitment materials for use across digital, print, campus, and outreach channels.\n, • Maintain brochures, promotional materials, signage, event supplies, and related marketing inventory.\n, • Support marketing campaigns and assist with tracking engagement, inquiries, leads, event activity, and other relevant performance measures.\n, • Assist with regular marketing reporting and help identify opportunities to improve campaign and channel performance.\n, • Coordinate marketing projects with internal departments, vendors, contractors, and external partners.\n, • Maintain project tracking and provide updates using DI's project management tools.\n, • Support photography, video, student stories, alumni content, campus news, and other initiatives that help communicate the DI experience.\n\n \n Events and Campus Engagement 10% \n\n • Support the planning and execution of on-campus, off-campus, and virtual marketing and recruitment events.\n, • Assist with event promotion, materials, logistics, and follow-up.\n, • Engage with students and staff as an active member of the campus community.\n, • Support student ambassador, alumni, and other community engagement initiatives as assigned.\n, • Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services, Academic Affairs, the Registrar, and other departments as needed.\n, • Participate in required training, meetings, and institutional activities.\n, • Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n \n Outreach and Prospective Student Engagement 25% \n\n • Represent DI at college fairs, high school and community college visits, career fairs, community events, virtual events, and other recruitment opportunities.\n, • Build and maintain relationships with high schools, community colleges, counselors, educators, community organizations, and other referral partners.\n, • Identify and recommend new outreach opportunities that may generate awareness of DI and interest in its academic programs.\n, • Engage prospective students at recruitment events, accurately collect lead information, and conduct timely initial follow-up.\n, • Respond to prospective student inquiries and facilitate the transition of the qualified prospects into the admissions process.\n, • Support Admissions with campus tours, information sessions and other recruitment activities as needed.\n, • Maintain accurate documentation of outreach leads and prospective student activity in DI's Student Information System or other approved tracking tools.\n\n \n Qualifications \n\n • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Education, or a related field preferred. Relevant education and professional experience may be considered.\n, • 0-3 years of experience in marketing, admissions, recruitment, outreach, sales, customer service, communications, or another relationship-focused environment. Relevant internship experience may be considered.\n, • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence initiating conversations with prospective students, families, educators, and community partners.\n, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and engaging marketing and recruitment content.\n, • Comfortable conducting outbound calls, emails, and other proactive follow-up with prospective students and leads.\n, • Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic content creation. Experience with Canva, short-form video, or social media graphics is a plus.\n, • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects, events, and follow-up activities.\n, • Comfortable using technology, databases, project management tools, and student information or CRM systems. Experience with Asana and/or an SIS is a plus.\n, • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.\n, • Student-focused mindset, sound judgment, initiative, and a positive, flexible approach.\n, • Ability to travel locally for recruitment activities and occasionally work evenings or weekends.\n, • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local outreach activities.\n\n \n Salary Range \n The salary range for this position is $55,000-65,000 per year.
