The Role As a Residential Care Manager, you’ll play a vital part in the everyday lives of the children and young people you support. From helping with daily routines like getting ready for school, to weekend adventures at theme parks, zoos, bowling alleys or cinemas—you’ll be both a caregiver and a role model. The role isn’t without its challenges. You’ll support children with autism, learning difficulties, and mental health needs, but the emotional rewards and personal connections you'll form make this one of the most fulfilling jobs you’ll ever have. Key Responsibilities: Determines short- and long-term requirements for staffing, financial planning, material needs, and overall service delivery to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Develops and manages work schedules, allocates tasks, and delegates responsibilities effectively to ensure optimal use of staff and smooth day-to-day operations. Acts as a liaison between service users and their families, as well as the wider community, maintaining open communication and positive relationships. Conducts regular assessments of service users' needs, ensuring access to appropriate health and social care services in a timely and effective manner. Cultivates a safe, friendly, and supportive environment to build trust, confidence, and a sense of security among children and young people. Ensures the physical comfort and wellbeing of all service users, proactively addressing any issues or concerns that arise to maintain a high standard of care and support. Solihull Indoor Bowls Club is located off Widney Lane We are a busy social club hosting a variety of evening and weekend events. We require experienced bar staff to cover a range of shifts on a weekly rota, so flexibility is a must. Evening shifts would be 6.30pm to 11.30pm. Friday and Saturday 7pm to Midnight. Daytime shifts would be 9am to 2pm or 5pm. There will be some lone working due to certain smaller events. Responsibilities Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies Weekly cleaning tasks to be completed Comply with all food and beverage regulations Reconciling Tills Safely locking up the club including setting the alarm and locking the external gates. Requirements and skills Proven working experience as a Bartender Computer literacy Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Ability to keep the bar organised, stocked and clean Relevant training certificates
