We are seeking an experienced, confident, and inspiring English Teacher ready to take the next step into a leadership-focused role within a specialist setting. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, nurturing provision where you can have a genuine impact—not only in the classroom but across the wider development of the English curriculum and team. The Role • 5 days per week, comprising:, • 3 days teaching English, • 2 days dedicated to TLR responsibilities, • Deliver English across a mixed curriculum (Entry Level to GCSE), • Lead on the development of English provision across the setting, • Support with mentoring and development of colleagues, • Contribute to curriculum design, planning, and quality assurance, • Create a trauma-informed, engaging, and supportive learning environmentAbout the Provision, • Small, specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH, • Classes of up to 9 pupils, with strong additional staff support, • Focus on relational practice, engagement, and personalised learning, • Highly collaborative and supportive team cultureThe Ideal Candidate Will:, • Be a qualified and experienced English Teacher, • Have the confidence to take a lead role within the department, • Be passionate about mentoring and supporting colleagues, • Demonstrate strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches, • Have experience (or strong interest) in curriculum development, • Be nurturing, resilient, and adaptable in their approach, • Be highly organised and a strong forward plannerWhat Makes This Role Stand Out, • Opportunity to step into a leadership-focused position with dedicated time for TLR duties, • Ability to genuinely shape and influence the English curriculum, • Small class sizes with excellent support, • Informal visit to meet the Headteacher (ASAP) If you’re looking for a role where you can lead, mentor, and make a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you.
