The Role: As a Transition Management Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire transition lifecycle from pre-sales engagement and solution design through planning, execution and successful stabilisation of new engagements and business. You will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and quality transition experience for our clients, employees, and key stakeholders. You will work within the Major Markets Unit and be an integral member of the Large Deals Team, working on strategic opportunities with some of the biggest brands in the UK, Ireland and worldwide. This role requires flexibility to travel to TCS and or client locations as needed, particularly during critical transition activities. Key responsibilities: • Collaborate with Solution Leads to define and execute holistic strategies that support winning new business., • Own the transition-related sections of Requests for Proposals (RfPs), ensuring clarity, compelling value propositions, and alignment with client requirements., • Lead client-facing presentations, workshops, and meetings during the sales cycle, confidently articulating a compelling transition approach., • Develop and champion best-in-class transition frameworks, methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure consistency across engagements., • Design transition solutions and develop comprehensive plans, including resourcing and location strategies., • Maintain strong communication with key internal and external stakeholders throughout the transition lifecycle, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing risks effectively., • Implement robust governance models and decision-making processes, ensuring effective risk identification and management for successful transitions., • Manage the day-to-day operations of the TCS transition delivery team to ensure smooth cutover and integration of new services and/or personnel into the TCS ecosystem. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate transition solutions., • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly understand client objectives and tailor transition approaches accordingly., • Strong customer focus, with a commitment to delivering solutions that meet or exceed client expectations., • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate diverse cross-functional teams through complex environments., • Skilled in building and maintaining strong working relationships and navigating challenging stakeholder dynamics., • High level of technical proficiency combined with strong business acumen., • Strong capability in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks effectively., • Extensive work experience in leading large, complex transitions, transformations, or programs, ideally within IT., • Demonstrated success in managing transitions as a director or Workstream Leader., • Proven track record of delivering large programs involving multiple suppliers and projects on time and within budget., • Deep understanding of organisational change management principles, methodologies, and best practices., • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and collaboration tools.
