We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SENDteaching assistant to join a vibrant SEND school in Greenwich.This role will involve supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, PMLD and/or SLCD, ensuring they can fully engage with their learning and social development. You may be supporting primary or secondary aged students, as the school caters for both. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to children with SEND, either 1:1 or in small groups., • Work alongside class teachers and SEND staff to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs., • Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interactions., • Assist with daily routines, sensory activities, and interventions designed to support the development of children with ASD., • Monitor and report on progress, working closely with the SEND team to identify and address challenges., • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. Ideal Candidate: • Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably in a specialist setting., • Knowledge of Autism-friendly strategies, sensory needs, and behaviour management approaches., • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs., • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively ...
