We are seeking a Principal Lead responsible for leading the Commercial Data and Analytics deployment within the organisation. This includes leading the data transformation strategy, the technical delivery of data products, as well as commercial and customer insights and business critical data, ensuring solutions align to the organisation's strategic goals. Key responsibilities: Lead the transformation of the bank's data estate, delivering enterprise-curated data products aligned with Group frameworks. Develop and execute the UK Data & Analytics strategy, aligning to Group roadmaps and enhancing the UK toolbox with innovative solutions. Mentor and manage a high-performing team of data scientists and analytics engineers, driving career development and performance reviews. Collaborate across functions to ensure alignment, integration, and clear technical direction for data strategies. Drive innovation and compliance through cutting-edge tools, data governance excellence, and regulatory adherence. Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Relevant 3rd level qualification in IT e.g. Computer Science or other related STEM discipline (Bachelors, Masters) Experience in leading complex data migrations to Databricks or other cloud-based platforms Experience of data engineering, analytics, data science and/ or data product deployment within federated Data structures such as data mesh Experience of advanced data science techniques such as predictive analytics to generate customer and commercial outcomes Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, particularly in data science and analytics with capability to maintain high team performance in a fast-paced environment Experience in contributing to and developing data strategies. Strong communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders, including non-technical and Executive audiences. Strong understanding of data governance and data quality management and regulatory compliance.
